Biography of Maestro Alfredo
Alfredo Picota Panduro was born in Canaan de Cachiyacu, situated in the lush Ucayali region of Loreto, Peru. As a descendant of the esteemed Maestra Ayahuasquera Celia Panduro Huayta, he is deeply rooted in the rich ancestral traditions of the Shipibo Ayahuasquero lineage. From an early age, Alfredo exhibited a profound understanding of the spiritual dimensions of medicinal plants, which has profoundly shaped his life’s work.
Now at 40, Alfredo dedicates himself to sharing this invaluable ancestral wisdom with compassion and insight. He began leading Ayahuasca ceremonies at the age of 23, with the aim of deepening participants’ connections to the natural world and its myriad healing energies. His innate desire to help those in distress has fueled his commitment to his mission: to assist individuals grappling with mental, spiritual, and physical ailments, many of whom seek transformative healing experiences.
In addition to his spiritual practices, Alfredo has undertaken extensive diets and fasts with master medicinal plants, further enriching his understanding and expertise. He holds a degree in Social Sciences from the Universidad Los Ángeles (ULADECH) in Chimbote, Peru, which complements his spiritual knowledge with academic rigor.
Alfredo has dedicated years to dieting with Noa Rao, gaining specialized insights into the healing properties of master plants such as Shiric Sanango, Bobinsana, Ayahuma, and Noa Rao. His unwavering dedication to the healing potential of these plants has earned him great respect within his community, establishing him as a vital guide for those seeking holistic healing in Peru.
With a blend of traditional wisdom and modern understanding, Maestro Alfredo Picota Panduro continues to illuminate the path toward wellness for many, bridging the gap between ancient practices and contemporary healing needs.

Biography of Maestro Sergio Castro Maldonado
Born in the native community of Paoyhan, in the Loreto department, Maestro Sergio Castro Maldonado was born on March 30, 1986. From a young age, he was guided by ancestral energies and the wisdom of his elders, carrying in his heart the legacy of his ancestors and a deep connection to the land and the universe.
He bears the name of his grandfather, Inkanima, which means “guided by the Inkas and by the Sun God,” symbolizing his commitment to spiritual guidance and divine light. Since the age of 18, he has dedicated his life to learning and practicing ancestral teachings, deepening his knowledge of sacred plants and traditional ceremonies.
Maestro Sergio plays the guitar as he sings the sacred Icaros songs, channeling the energy of angels to guide and heal. His music is a powerful tool in ceremonies, creating a sacred space for deep healing, introspection, and spiritual growth. He has mastered several plant dieta practices, with Chiric Sanango being his favorite, with which he has cultivated a profound connection through dedicated dieta.
His mission in life is to heal and help others find their inner balance, promoting health of the soul, body, and spirit. To him, medicinal plants are not only physical remedies but also carriers of ancestral wisdom that connect people with the cosmos, nature, and their divine essence.
As a shaman at Flower of Life Ayahuasca Healing Center, Maestro Sergio guides participants through sacred ceremonies, always rooted in respect, humility, and love for our ancestral roots. He works in harmony with the spirits and energies of the land, sharing his gift to facilitate profound healing and spiritual awakening.
He is a husband and father of five children, who inspire him to continue sharing the wisdom of the plants and our ancestral traditions, with the hope that every soul can discover its path to healing and enlightenment.

Getting Here
Directions
You will fly into Iquitos (IQT), Peru — the international gateway to the Amazon. Our staff will pick you up at the airport and guide you on a 2-hour drive south to the port town of Nauta. From Nauta, we travel approximately 1 hour by boat along the Marañón River into Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, arriving directly at the lodge. Total transfer time from airport: 3–4 hours. Pick-up and drop-off are included.
Accommodation
Each cottage is beautifully appointed with a modern bathroom, vaulted roofs, scenic views in every direction, comfortable beds and is immaculately cleaned. The land is dotted with cottages giving each guest immense privacy and solitude.

On 150 acres of primary rainforest within Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, reached by boat along the Marañón River. The main lodge, built in traditional Amazonian style with palm-thatched roofs, is where guests share meals and gather with the Maestros. The maloca, dedicated solely to medicine work, sits deeper in the jungle. Private cottages with private bathroom are scattered across the property. Intentionally off-grid: electricity and Wi-Fi on scheduled hours.
