About this Retreat
Anieke is a social entrepreneur, connector & coach. She traded her small Amsterdam apartment for a house with an ocean view in Ericeira where she lives with her partner & dog.
She loves learning new things, is open, playful, enthousiastic, and curious about consciousness & spirituality. She loves helping others, and during the retraite she will support entrepreneurs and participants through coaching and alignment between head, heart, gut, body and energy.
She has traveled, studied and worked in 5 continents, and has a background in Venture Capital as an impact investor. She has founded a social startup called Peekabond to help global families to connect with young children.
Jasper is an entrepreneur, adventurer, coach and wisdom seeker. He is interested in the intersection of consciousness and social entrepreneurship. During retreats he will support entrepreneurs with vision, strategy and manifestation.
He has co-founded 4 ventures (Soul Kitchen, ScaleHub, Kula and Bohemian Birds) that are united by a single purpose: To empower people to live their quests. As a response to COVID-19 he created a campaign to thank healthcare workers that got nominated for “Dutch advertising award of the year” (Gouden Loeki).
Jasper has trained and coached hundreds of social entrepreneurs through accelerator programs of ImpactHub, Booking.com, World Wildlife Fund and World Tourism Forum Lucerne. Jasper started his career as a strategy consultant at McKinsey and graduated from the London School of Economics.
He has had a challenging start in life. When he was 1 year old he lost his mother and a potential brother or sister in a car accident while they were living in Tanzania (where his parents worked as doctors). Luckily his father and he survived. This experience taught him lessons about the preciousness of life and made him want to experience life to the fullest.
Around 2 years ago Jasper left Amsterdam for a world trip and a bit of a spiritual journey. He visited Tanzania for 4 months, lived in a spiritual community in Costa Rica (Pachamama), attended Mindvalley University in Estonia and explored the world of psychedelics, meditation, breathwork and tantra. He sees Soul Kitchen as a lab for collaboration and exploration and a place where consciousness and business blend.
Steven is a breathwork facilitator, an ICF-accredited coach, an experience designer, and a community builder. His original background is in Psychology (MSc).
Currently he runs a company called Breathlife.
In his work his main focus is on connection.
Reconnecting people to themselves, others and their environment to make sure we live a life that deeply resonates.
About Breathlife:
Breathlife is the vehicle through which Steven offers all his activities.
It works on 3 principles:
- Everything should be an Experience.
- We only work in a committed Environment.
- We celebrate the Experiment.
Breathlife offers full spectrum breathwork facilitation and coaching, from functional breathing exercises to 2hr connected breathing journeys.
Nanneke started her spiritual journey in 2008 when a search for grounding and embodiment led her to yogic philosophy and the start of a Raja Yoga teacher training. It was during this training that she was introduced to Pranayama and Yogic Breathing. After one year she decided to make her practice a bit more physical and continued with a 4-year Hatha Yoga teacher training, which included Ayurvedic Principles, Massage and Prana, followed by a Yin Yoga TTC and various breathwork training.
Nanneke has acquired a wealth of expertise and since 2017 she is primarily focussed on breathwork and tantra. She now offers pranayama, circular breathing sessions, breath training and pelvic floor awareness.
About Breathbase
Breathbase provides workshops, classes, training and retreats for the development of breath awareness. With Breathbase, Nanneke focuses on three different types of breathing; Pranayama (Yogic Breathing), Circular breathing (therapeutic breathwork) and Relaxation breathing.
The first stage is developing a wholesome awareness of the natural breath, which is the Yin characteristic of breathwork, a sensation of being rather than doing.
From there you can start consciously training the breath. Using the therapeutic practice of circular breathing, you can move through trauma that has been stored in the body and create a sense of freedom and flow. Pranayama frequently brings about energetic body equilibrium and fosters a calm mind with intense attention and concentration.
I'm Maguy, a spirited entrepreneur driven by love for all things culinary – particularly the healthful kind -I will be your chef on the retreat! Behind every dish and bite, there's a philosophy that does not only tease the taste buds but also fuels our well-being.
🍽️ Mindful Eating:
We're often so caught up in our fast-paced lives that we forget to truly enjoy our meals. I'm on a mission to bring back the lost art of savoring each bite and truly appreciating every flavor as it holds the key to a harmonious relationship with our food.
🥗 Positive Culinary Influence:
Food isn't just fuel; it's a way to spread positivity in our lives. Through my food adventurous, I'm all about showing how delicious choices can be the gateway to being a happier, healthier person.
🌱 From Seed to Table:
The incredible journey our food takes before it lands on our plates. From simple seeds to delicious dishes, there's an entire world of hard work and progress that goes into it. It's like a behind-the-scenes show you don't want to miss.
🍎 Food as Medicine:
Every bite we take shapes how we feel and function. Whether it's firing up our brain cells or just giving us the energy to tackle the day, it all starts with what's on our plates.
As your chef in Portugal I will mainly cook plant based focusing on local, seasonal and bio/eco products. Quality ingredients are the most important to me where my mission is to positively influence people in the way they eat.
I look forward to welcoming you on the retreat.
Let's eat, laugh, and create delicious memories together!
Stay hungry,
Maguy

Introducing the "Mourning Our Mothers" Edition of our Soul Kitchen Retreat!
This deeply meaningful and nurturing edition is specifically crafted for those who have experienced the profound loss of their mothers, offering a safe space for healing, connection, and empowerment.
Join us at Casa Eira in Ericeira, Portugal, where hearts unite to support and uplift one another on this transformative journey. Guided by our founder Jasper and a team of facilitators, you'll embark on a path of healing, self-discovery, and renewed strength.
If you've experienced the loss of your mother, know that you're not alone. During this edition, you'll find solace in shared experiences, embrace the power of community, and gain valuable tools to navigate the complexities of life without a mother's presence. Together, we'll create a space of love, understanding, and acceptance, fostering growth and resilience.
What can you expect?
1. Ground & connect - Feel welcome and at home in the house and the group. Settle in, get to know each other. Eat, share and let your intentions for the week land.
2. See it, acknowledge - What stories about the loss of your mother are you aware of? Acknowledge and honor the story of your mothers’ life and death. Visualize the past and make space for different/new interpretations and viewpoints.
3. Feel it, plunge in - Connect with yourself in this moment, your breath and soften into the (old) grief. Make space to feel into your (emotional) body, how can you release and soften a bit more. Land into quietness and swim/drift/dive in the ocean.
4. Love what remained unloved - Reconnect to the love that felt lost. Create and find ways to remember together. Celebrate your courage to face this part of your life story.
5. Integration - Move with the elements (wind, water, beach, the rocks and sun) and integrate the experiences even more into your mind, heart and body. Find and share ways to integrate the practices for when you are back home.
6. Adjourning - Saying goodbye with intention, creating full circles. Honoring new friendships and cherishing the experience and learnings and road to continue.
