Soma Institute’s retreats take place in a beautiful and peaceful venue situated an hour and a half North of Amsterdam. A private room for every participant and the ample common areas provide a place for everyone to relax, drop in, spend time in self-reflection and in nature.
Our retreats are intimate, with a high participant-therapist ratio, allowing for individualized care. Besides the psilocybin experience we also offer a variety of somatic activities that help the healing process and can create lasting changes in participants’ lives. Why Soma Institute?
We are a collaborative of experienced therapists with a shared commitment to a life-long exploration of non-ordinary states of consciousness through psychedelic practices, movement, breathwork and meditation. Our holistic approach is grounded on both spiritual and clinical models of healing, combining entheogenic practices with integrative psychotherapy. We promote wellbeing through a Mind-Body-Spirit model of healing in community.
We have developed our methodologies under the rigorous clinical supervision and guidance of Dr Friederike Meckel Fischer, a trailblazer in the field of psychedelic therapy in Europe. Dr Meckel Fischer, a student in her formative years of esteemed teachers such as Stan Grof and Ralph Metzner, has gleaned knowledge, wisdom and experience directly from the source. It is with great honour that we contribute to the continuation of this revered lineage.
Recognizing the imperative of equitable access to these transformative treatments, we have established a donor-based scholarship fund. This initiative has already provided support to some of our retreat participants. If you believe you may qualify for our scholarship program, kindly submit a 500-word explanation outlining your current need for financial assistance to the following address: info@somainstitute.org
