Details of this retreat

Enter into a deep study of Myth, as a doorway to the numinous realms of Soul and Land. As the ancient teachings of the Myth unfurl, we will engage with them through land-based practices and mask making.

Masks are gifted to us from the intersection between the other world and the inner world, to feed our relationship with both. We will nourish life as we engage in story, land, and by giving form to the masks that are waiting for us to remember them.

Join Stephanie MacKay and Stéphanie Marchal for a gathering around old Indo-European stories that carry the seed memory of an ancient way of feeding life. We will wander through the teachings of one story, allowing our curiosity and the story Soul to guide us. Along the way, we will attempt to court the remaining vestiges of an intact, earth-based culture and spirituality.

The gathering will include an in-depth study of the story, mask-making, deepening practices, ceremony, and connection with the land. As the process unfolds, we will find whispers of profound beauty that touch our deepest longings, nourish our souls, and offer us guidance towards a life of reverence and reciprocity.

Beautiful land, incredible life-changing experience
I attended a ReWilding Immersion here in August, 2023. I sought out this experience to address a lack of connection I felt with the natural world, and could not have anticipated how much more I would get from this retreat.

I connected with my wholeness, called upon and honed my deep inner knowing, expressed long-held and largely unconscious feelings, and left feeling more aligned, healed and connected to myself and the more-than-human world.

Stephanie and Sarah were such incredible guides and facilitators, sharing their knowledge and gifts generously. They walked the perfect line of giving us space, freedom and trust to explore our own processes, while always being present if support was needed.

The land itself is incredible, with a variety of trees and plants and creatures to connect with. Pease Lake is a short walk away, and I enjoyed a few peaceful swims. The house was used to prepare our meals and held some of our gatherings. It all felt 10/10 perfect to me.

Deep listener
My experience of Stephanie is that she is a compassionate and deep listener who asks skillful questions to gently nudge and deepen a person's understanding of themselves. She also has a sense of humour, and is down to earth.

Gorgeous space!
Cedar Song is a beautiful space surrounded by nature. The kitchen is well stocked for all food prep, the bathrooms and showers are fine, and the big room is spacious, and beautifully adorned with elements of nature. There are different meeting places around the property, a large deck to dine on, and paths in multiple directions to wander onto the land.

A fantastic retreat, expertly guided. Don't overthink it. Just sign up and go!
In speaking with a friend, I described my Rewilding retreat with Stephanie and Becky as "delightfully not spiritual," meaning that I wasn’t in the presence of a bunch of pseudo-spiritual egos trying to look all zenny while they were exploding on the inside. Instead, I felt privileged to be with an extraordinary group of very real and honest women who were being their perfectly imperfect selves while our guides expertly held the space for our explorations. I feel ongoing gratitude for the retreat and for all those who made it possible. Bill Plotkin's simple, yet brilliant map of the self and the sub-personalities continues to serve as a guide for my inner work. Highly recommended!

Amazing
I highly recommend this experience to everyone who wants to dig deeper into their psyche.

The retreat was a beautiful experience that gave me a lens into how the psyche works, and a lens into what areas of my psyche need healing and restoration. The facilitators created a nurturing and inspiring environment for us to commune with nature and with each other. I was able to explore thoughts and feelings and let them take their own journey.
