Details of this retreat

In early spring, traces of winter still linger, yet signs of spring are also beginning to appear. It is an ambivalent time. We wait patiently for spring to emerge fully, just as we anticipate the Resurrection. As we wait for the joy of Easter, nature models patience and acceptance. She accompanies us and comforts us during this in-between time; as we lament ecological loss, we also trust that new life will emerge. This liminal space invites us to sit with our grief and hold space, knowing that there is a promise of renewal and new life. We are invited to embrace the rhythms of death and new life in both nature and in Lent through prayer, nature meditation, journaling and sharing.

Our program begins with a simple supper at 6:00 followed by a workshop until 8:00. Read More

just what I needed and didn't know I needed.
This was definitely a unique experience. I knew Nancy Sheridan would be good but I didn't realize its deep impact on my soul. Thank you, not only to Nancy, but to all who made this weekend possible. The Genesis staff was outstanding. Read More

Lucy Abbott Tucker
My days at Genesis were days of going home for a reunion with friends and colleagues, embracing the learned wisdom of an excellent teacher, Lucy Abbott Tucker and resting in community in front of a blazing fire in the fireplace. My spirit was nourished and I was at peace.
