Details of this retreat

The Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year-- a celebration of light, vitality, and growth. The Full Moon invites reflection, release, and renewal.
During this cosmic convergence, join Yoga Teacher, Reiki Master, and Musician, Alyssa Lauren Stone, for a transformative weekend in the forests of Sonoma County– 900 feet above the sea, as we utilize these celestial energies to awaken our inner radiance and restore balance.
From energizing vinyasa and pranayama to gentle yoga, meditation, and restorative postures under the full moonlight, we will activate the body's vitality while surrendering to whatever comes our way.
As a classically trained musician, Alyssa will also offer a mystical sound bath journey using Himalayan and crystal bowls, gong, harmonium, chimes, and other percussive instruments to soothe the body and mind.
There will be an afternoon of quiet time for introspection, whether that be journaling or exploring the hiking trails around the property.

Beautiful and Serene
The Ratna Ling retreat center is located in the woods along the spectacular No CA Coast. The cottages are deluxe with comfortable beds and seating, porches and kitchenettes. There is space there for escape, a personal retreat of whatever sort is needed. There are yoga and meditation sessions and thoughtful, tasty vegetarian meals. The folks that live and work there are friendly and accommodating. Can't say enough good things!

Too little yoga
This yoga retreat did not include enough yoga practice time. Although Alyssa Lauren Stone was a good yoga teacher, I was expecting to spend 1h30 per yoga session, but it was closer to 45 minutes of active yoga a day. I would have liked more yoga for this yoga retreat, and less motivational talk. People could have learnt a lot more from each other than from the teacher, had the space been provided to really exchange together. Also, yoga was guided, but nothing was done to ensure participants’ alignment, or balance in the poses. For 20ish participants, I believe an assistant or a more explicitly guided practice would have been beneficial. Finally, I thought there were too many participants for the yoga room we had.

Beautiful setting for relaxing experience
Ratna Ling offers a gorgeous scenery among the redwoods and valleys to enjoy time to reset. Food is always flavourful and staff is very kind. My only concern was that I thought we were too many participants in the yoga room to feel comfortable. Would definitely recommend this place!
