ITINERARY
Day 1 : Urubamba or Ollantaytambo - Mollepata - Soraypampa - Laguna Humantay
Andean Escape: Glaciers, Valleys & Humantay Lagoon
We'll pick you up directly from your hotel in Ollantaytambo or Urubamba between 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. (the exact time will be coordinated with the group to optimize the day and avoid traffic). Our private tourist transport will take you to the town of Mollepata, passing through scenic routes in the Sacred Valley and the province of Anta. The journey takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on your starting point (shorter from Urubamba than from Ollantaytambo).
In Mollepata, you'll enjoy an energizing breakfast at a local restaurant to fuel up before the hike.
We continue for another 30-45 minutes to Soraypampa (3900 m.a.s.l.), where the hike begins after a short break.
The hike to the impressive Humantay Lagoon (4200 m.a.s.l.) takes about 1.5 to 2 hours (one way). You'll have free time to take photos, listen to the guide's explanations, and connect with this wonderful place.
We return along the same trail to Soraypampa and then back to Mollepata, where you'll enjoy a local lunch with panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains—a truly unique culinary experience. Finally, transportation will return you to your hotel in Ollantaytambo or Urubamba, arriving approximately between 4:00 and 6:00 PM, depending on the group's pace and weather conditions.
