Four Elements Detox Retreat

In this retreat we will cleanse and harmonize our mind, emotion, spirit and body through ancestral medicines that connect us with the elements. We will also discover how to manifest our purposes in life by doing a seeding work within ourselves, unblocking what prevents us from manifesting those purposes, consulting them and ordering them with the support of the Great Spirit and Mother Nature to create the life we want to live.

The inner transformation undergone in this retreat is nourished by the wisdom of ancient sacred plant medicines and an experienced guide. Juan has developed the structure for this special and unique treatment through more than 15 years working as a psychologist and studying with elders and healers from multiple indigenous traditions. His deep dedication to serve through sharing this wisdom, combined with the ideal weather and powerful energy of the mountains, make for an ideal space for those who are willing and wanting to do the work to keep growing, expanding, and elevating their spiritual consciousness.


This retreat includes four ceremonies, each representing one of the four elements.

AIR- MAMBEADERO CEREMONY- CHOOSING THE SEED: The mambeadero ceremony, utilizing coca and tobacco medicines, gives a chance to share about and discuss the journey we will embark on. It will give us the wisdom to clarify the purpose of our journey and the benefits of the ancestral medicines that we are going to experience.

WATER- KAMBO CEREMONY- CLEAN THE SEED: The secretions of this Amazonian frog, in small doses, serves to cleanse the negativity from our energy field and
unblocks the chakras. It is used to clear what stops us from manifesting our purpose, such as doubts and fears, unconscious negative patterns, and blockages in the body.

FIRE- YOPO CEREMONY- CONSECRATE THE SEED: The yopo medicine serves to open our pineal gland, the seventh Chakra, through DMT (the molecule of the soul), to connect us with our divine light and obtain understanding about ourselves.

EARTH- TEMAZCAL CEREMONY- SOW THE SEED: The temazcal is the ancestral sauna of the Muisca. Here, we return to the womb of our mother earth to sow the work we’ve done and what we want to transform in our daily lives. (Note: In the case of a small/personal retreat (under 3 people), the Temazcal ceremony is replaced with a Pagamento (offering/payment) ceremony, consisting of an offering to mother earth to sow our seed.)
