About this Retreat

Details of this retreat

Certified Functional Breathing Practitioner
Nervous System Reset & Professional Foundation

7 Days · ASHA, Tuscany

Restore your own regulation.
Train to guide others safely.
Leave certified and ethically compliant.

Who This Speaks To
You Feel Called to Help Others

But you want to do it properly.

A coach wanting somatic depth
A therapist expanding your toolkit
A yoga teacher seeking physiological grounding
A carer feeling burned out
A professional considering career transition
Curious about breathwork, unsure where to begin

You do not want something superficial.
You do not want something unsafe.
You do not want to disappear for three weeks without knowing if this path is right.

This week was designed for that exact stage.

The Training
What This Training Is

A professional certification in Functional Breathing and Nervous System Regulation. Practical. Structured. Scope-of-practice clear.

You will learn to:

Assess functional breathing patterns safely
Teach nasal breathing and diaphragm mechanics
Guide reduced breathing techniques
Improve CO₂ tolerance progressively
Facilitate resonance breathing for regulation
Structure a 10–15 minute professional session
Understand contraindications and referral boundaries

This is not a weekend intensive. It is a contained, seven-day professional formation in an environment built for deep work.

Certification & Ethical Compliance

Upon Successful Completion:

Certification in Functional Breathing & Nervous System Regulation

This qualifies you to:

Guide foundational conscious breathing practices
Support clients with stress regulation
Teach sleep-focused breath protocols
Deliver short nervous system reset sessions

Aligned with GPBA Standards:

Clear scope of practice
Contraindication awareness
Ethical language and boundaries
No over-claiming
Responsible client care

This protects you. It protects your clients. It protects the profession.

What This Training Is Not

There is confusion in the breathwork field. This training is intentionally bounded. Clarity protects everyone.

Week 1 does NOT include:

Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB)
Trauma catharsis work
Emotional release intensives
Altered-state breath practices

Those methods are powerful and require additional training and supervision. Weeks 2–3 of our Land-Based Facilitator Intensive address these areas.

Stability precedes intensity.

Week 1 builds regulation first. The foundation must hold before the depth can open.

The 4 Pillars You Will Master

01 — Mechanics
Nasal breathing, diaphragm function, ribcage movement, posture correction.

02 — Chemistry
Understanding over-breathing, anxiety physiology, CO₂ tolerance training.

03 — Cadence
Resonance breathing and autonomic balance for deep nervous system regulation.

04 — Application
Sleep improvement. Burnout recovery. Stress switching. Performance under pressure.

What You Leave With

A daily 12-minute regulation protocol
A 90-second rapid reset method
A structured client session framework
A clear ethical scope of practice
GPBA-aligned certification
Clarity about whether to continue into advanced facilitator training

You will not leave inflated.
You will leave competent.

Personal regulation and professional capability. Both. By day seven.

Pathway Forward

Week 1 stands alone as a complete professional certification. It is also the entry point into deeper facilitator training.

Option 01 — Standalone Certification
Complete Week 1 as your full professional qualification. Return to your work as a Certified Functional Breathing Practitioner. Scope clear. Ethics in place. Ready to practise.

Option 02 — Advanced Facilitator Pathway
Continue into Weeks 2–3 to train in Conscious Connected Breathwork, group facilitation, trauma-aware practice, and advanced practicum. Week 1 is the non-negotiable foundation.

Beautiful environment, caring people
Felt great at ASHA from the time of arrival to leaving. It's a beautiful, spacious, quiet environment with excellent facilities. The attention to detail in every aspect (workshop spaces, pool, gardens, dining/ relaxing areas and accommodations) was apparent, and all the staff and volunteers I met there were kind and. helpful.
I attended a different kind of event there than their 'breath work' offerings, so can't comment on them. But I really appreciated that many of the staff/volunteers participated in what we were doing in an open and positive way. They were a diverse and delightful group of people with a clear commitment to honesty and caring in interpersonal relations.
The vegan food is prepared with care and beautifully presented. Those of us attending who wanted some 'additions' such as egg or cheeses were allowed to store them in a separate fridge in a separate 24 hr 'cafe' area where we could also make hot drinks as we wanted.
