Postgraduate Diploma TTC
in Yogic Science and Ayurveda
September 15th to October 6th, 2024

Retreat description
This university-level Teacher Training Course is a remarkable opportunity to deepen your practice and expand your knowledge in the field of traditional Yoga and Ayurveda. Both sciences combined give great insight into the wide field of holistic health in today’s world.

Nowadays, Yoga is often misunderstood as a form of exercise. However, the true essence of Yoga is far beyond the physical realm. Developed thousands of years ago, Yoga is a path of liberation and self-realization. Through postures, breathing techniques, mudras, purification techniques, bandhas, and meditation, ancient Yogis sought to understand the Self and the Universe.

Around the same time, they developed Ayurveda, the Science of Life. Ayurveda is a system of holistic medicine that creates health, balance, and longevity through diet, natural herbs, and a wholesome lifestyle. Its principles are based on the theory of the five elements and three body constitutions (Doshas).

In the 21st century, people are turning toward a holistic approach to well-being. When the sister sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda are combined, the benefits increase exponentially. Together, they help detoxify and balance both body and mind, establishing overall health and happiness.
What makes this program special?
This Postgraduate Diploma is the only academic course in the world today which combines the traditional practices of Yoga and Ayurveda. It lays the foundation for anyone seeking a career in the field of health and wellness – in yoga, fitness, hospitality, or academics. After successful completion of the course, you are eligible to work both as a yoga teacher and a wellness consultant.

This training course is suitable both for experienced practitioners and those who are new to Yoga and Ayurveda. You do NOT need to hold a previous degree to join this course. This training welcomes anybody with a genuine interest in deepening their knowledge of these two practices, traditionally taught.

The lectures are taught by experienced professors working in different universities and colleges of Yoga and Ayurveda in India. The program is headed by the course coordinator and visiting professor Dr. Adrish Brahmadatta.

As a special benefit, you will get 30-day free access to One Yoga Online Studio to help you keep up your practice, any time, anywhere thanks to our Yoga & Meditation App, featuring over 900 classes, courses, and challenges.
Duration
The course takes 22 days, with 18 teaching days. After every six days of teaching, there will be a break with one day off. After the course, you have two months to write your thesis, followed by an online thesis interview with Mahidol University.
Final Certification
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Postgraduate Diploma from the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures in Asia.

In order to receive your certificate, you must pass the written and oral exams at the end of the course, the thesis, and the thesis interview.

Besides the academic title, you will be qualified to teach Yoga. While the final certification for this program is not accredited by Yoga Alliance, this unique Teacher Training Course not only prepares you to teach yoga safely and effectively like other TTCs but also offers invaluable insights into Ayurveda for an immersive, holistic experience.
