About this Retreat
My name is Barbara A. Camarao, and I'm thrilled to introduce myself as your guide on the path of healing and transformation.
Originally from Brazil, I pursued my passion for psychology and adventure by studying clinical psychology in Germany, where I earned one of the top degrees in my year.
I then furthered my education in Transpersonal Psychology at IPTB Barcelona and lived in Australia for 2 years, working and traveling. Having had a history of depression and anxiety myself I understand mental illness from both sides.
It has been frustrating for me to see that conventional, modern psychiatry and psychotherapy are oftentimes not enough in healing deep psychological wounds. Because of that I turned to other unconventional methods such as the exploration of ayahuasca/psilocybin and its effects.
My mental state has significantly improved and I feel confident in saying that now with the help of psychedelics and transpersonal psychotherapy I am depression-free.
As a multilingual therapist, I'm passionate about providing accessible and inclusive care to individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and languages. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate space where you can explore your inner landscape, integrate your experiences, and tap into your innate healing and transformative potential.
Nikita Perez, originally from Martinique, began her journey into the world of plants medicine seven years ago, driven by a desire to heal herself. What started as a personal exploration quickly blossomed into a deep passion. Over the years, she has pursued extensive training as a holistic therapist in various healing modalities, including Ayurvedic massage, deep tissue techniques, and traditional Chinese medicine.
She has worked as a facilitator at a plant medicine retreat center in Peru, where she guided and supported participants through transformative experiences with sacred plants. Nikita has also collaborated with a therapist in psilocybin-assisted therapies, further expanding her expertise in alternative healing practices. Her work is dedicated to helping others achieve balance and well-being by integrating mind, body, and spirit.
