Since 2018, Myles Katz has dedicated himself to advancing the field of legal psilocybin experiences. He co-founded The Synthesis Institute in Amsterdam, where he helped develop one of the worldās first legal psychedelic service models. This initiative supported over 1,000 individuals on their wellness journeys and included a significant partnership with Imperial College London, enriching his understanding of effective psychedelic practices. His experience with Synthesis led to an invitation onto the board of the Oregon Psilocybin Training Alliance (OPTA) and various Rule Advisory Committees for the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), where he helps shape the framework for Oregonās legal psilocybin services.
Through the ongoing exploration of psychedelics across the globe and under the mentorship of inspirational teachers over the following eight years, Myles has developed a deep appreciation for both the power of the psychedelic experience itself and the neuroplasticity it fosters. This neuroplasticity helps individuals become open and receptive to things that otherwise feel out of reach or inaccessible due to the noise of our chaotic, technology-overloaded modern world. It has been pivotal in helping him and others make meaningful, lasting changes in the months following the psychedelic journey that once seemed impossible. He believes that knowing how to work with this neuroplasticity is key to using psychedelics as a tool to support the journey from āfunctioningā to āflourishing.ā
Mylesās own journey with psychedelics began at the age of 28 when he overcame his addiction to alcohol and lifted the fog of depression that had shrouded his life since the passing of his mother when he was 15. This profound experience revealed the incredible potential of psychedelics to facilitate deep healing and transformation. He is passionate and experienced in guiding individuals on their first therapeutic and inward psilocybin journeys. His goal is to help others not just make the changes they seek today but to embark on a conscious healing journey that transforms their lives.
With the Hi-U Foundation and Confluence Retreats ā the nonprofit he founded and conducts his facilitation practice through ā Myles utilizes his expertise to create nature-based, multi-modality psilocybin retreats within Oregonās legal framework. These retreats are enhanced by partnerships with indigenous communities and are grounded in validated therapeutic practices, reflecting his dedication to facilitating profound personal growth and healing. At Omnia, he focuses on providing one-on-one client sessions, bringing elements of their transformative retreat experiences into a more traditional setting to maximize the therapeutic benefits of psilocybin.

I recommend Myles highly
Myles was a thoughtful facilitator who handled my experience with compassion and empathy. I learned a lot about myself and kept learning a few months later. He listened and helped me walk through my response. He helped me see how it was related to a traumatic incident and gave me valuable advice.

Participating in this with a small group was very powerful - and added to the experience immensely.
I signed up for this retreat with a mix of anticipation and trepidation - probably like almost all participants. I set my intentions and imagined what the experience would be like. As the date grew nearer I shoved my low level anxiety aside and focused on what I assumed (hoped) my experience would be like. The pre-retreat group phone calls were very helpful - but what was truly wonderful was how quickly the six of us participants all bonded - it was a wonderful thing for a diverse group of people to feel. The forest and cabins where we stayed were lovely - adding immensely to the experience. Being in the woods was really special. To be honest the psilocybin flights were not what I had anticipated. I think I was assuming a magical instantaneous transformation. But what I came to realize is that the psilocybin is a tool and the real value is in how it opens you up to the changes you can make. It was several weeks after the retreat that I really began to understand this. I am prepared to be a fully active partner in my healing and the psilocybin has opened that door. Myles and Jules were wonderful - providing support and thoughtful reflections - always giving me more to think about.

This retreat is something that my husband and I will talk about for the rest of our lives!
Iām an extremely curious person and have always been interested in what the mind is capable of, so when I found out psilocybin was legal in Oregon, I thought with my husband, 'why not, letās try it!'
I did a lot of research online and ultimately found Confluence Retreats. I liked how safe and professional it seemedā¦ and I was right!
My experience was even more than what I expected; it was very intense, very deep and very hard to explain how much it opened up my view of life and Iām very glad I did it.
In the weeks after leaving the retreat, my husband and I continue to find new insights and perspectives and it has opened us up to really interesting conversations.
I couldnāt have asked for a better experience, in large part thanks to Myles and Confluence. Iāll always be glad that I did it and will likely do it again in the futureā¦.

Deeper, more experience behind it, and helped us feel safer than other providers in Oregon and abroad...
I had been interested in exploring psychedelics for a long time, given my extensive academic tenure in anthropology and what Iāve read about shamanistic events and how they defy explanation. Most recently, a book about mushrooms and their role in our ecosystems made my wife and I feel ready to try this now.
We chose to go with Confluence Retreats because it was much more personalized and oriented to the individual (or individuals, in our case), and the preparation was curated to meet our needs as individuals and together as a couple. Confluenceās approach was deeper, had more experience behind it, and ultimately helped us feel safer than what we considered both from other providers in Oregon and opportunities in other countries.
Myles was there to support us every step of the way as our organizer and facilitator including from planning our travel and logistics to Oregon down to the psilocybin session itself. He showed his presence and attunement to our needs in case the experience of the journey itself was different than we expected it might be.
After the integration support of our retreat, I am taking home a deep awareness of what exists beyond our ordinary consciousness and expanding my view of life and its possibilities. This was a very positive outcome of the experience that aligned with my original intentions!
Based on my experience, I highly recommend Confluence to anyone looking to explore psilocybin safely. With the guidance and support provided, it can be something that benefits the direction of your lifeā¦ even in ways you were not anticipating!
