Great experience buyer beware of hidden costs
I came to the retreat with a history of depression and anxiety. My expectations for results were very low. The experience with mushrooms was not only safe and helpful the experience was delightful. I came home with hope, something I felt I had lost. Lovely grounds and nice accommodations. Food was good. Buyer beware: they do not disclose pricing of the two different cocktails of medicine (mushrooms). One offers a mild dose of Ativan USA 25.00. (Shirley Cocktail) They do push sleep vitamins and I said no but he left some anyway and that was an additional 25.00 up charge that they didn’t mention until you have left the facilities. Also a 2% charge on your credit card. I honestly am very disappointed in the way they go about charging for these (therapies). An upfront price menu on the website is necessary and full disclosure at the time of consumption would be nice. The hidden costs did cheapen the entire experience. So bring your wallet when you come.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We're truly grateful you chose to join us and glad to hear that the retreat brought a renewed sense of hope. It’s wonderful to know that you felt safe and supported throughout your experience, and that the setting, food, and overall atmosphere contributed positively to your journey.
I also want to thank you for your thoughtful feedback regarding billing and transparency. We apologize for not having the final bill ready before your departure. With our condensed 4-day schedule, we prioritize every minute to ensure that guests get the most out of their time with us. As you may recall, on the morning of your group’s departure, one guest forgot a suitcase and we had a team member rushing to deliver it to the van before it left for the airport. Situations like this reflect our emphasis on guest care and comfort, and administrative details—such as reviewing which optional items were used—are finalized after guests have left, much like at a hotel.
To clarify for future guests reading this: we offer a multi-tiered nausea and anxiety support system for macrodose sessions. The standard protocol, including a base anti-nausea medication, is included in every program at no additional charge. For those who choose to opt into our more comprehensive protocols, which include extra medications for added comfort, a $25 fee is applied. These are entirely optional and are sometimes recommended especially for individuals with a history of severe nausea with psychedelics or specific medical or psychiatric considerations.
Regarding the sleep support supplements: these are placed in rooms in advance so guests have access to them immediately if needed—particularly overnight. The supplements are only charged if opened and used during the retreat. This approach helps ensure no one is left without support in the moment, even if they were unsure earlier in the day whether they’d want or need it. I apologize if this wasn't communicated clearly enough.
Lastly, the final billing statement was emailed just a few hours after your departure, along with a request to review it for accuracy and let us know if any adjustments were needed. As soon as there was any indication that certain charges may not have been clearly communicated, we promptly refunded the cost of those optional amenities—no questions asked. We always aim to err on the side of fairness and are more than happy to make things right when there’s any doubt.
We appreciate your honest input—it helps us improve and refine our communication and systems. Most importantly, we’re honored to have been part of your healing process, and we wish you continued peace and well-being.
Warmly,
Jessica
