About Our 1-1 and Group Kambo Sessions

At The Huachuma Project, we offer both individual and group Kambo sessions, each tailored to meet your unique healing needs. Kambo, a powerful Amazonian frog medicine, is known for its detoxifying and immune-boosting properties. This sacred medicine works on both a physical and energetic level, helping to cleanse the body, release emotional blockages, and open the path to deep personal transformation.

What is Kambo?

Kambo is a traditional Amazonian medicine derived from the secretion of the giant monkey frog (Phyllomedusa bicolor). Used for centuries by indigenous tribes like the Matsés of Peru, Kambo is renowned for its powerful purgative effects, helping to cleanse the mind, body, and spirit. It shifts 'Panema' (dark energies) and restores balance and vitality, leading to transformative experiences.

1-1 Kambo Sessions

Our 1-1 sessions are designed for those seeking a private, deeply personalised healing experience. In these sessions, you receive focused attention from our experienced Kambo practitioners, allowing for a safe and intimate space to explore your healing journey. These sessions are ideal for individuals who prefer privacy, require a customised approach, or are undergoing specific life transitions. Before the session, we will discuss your intentions and ensure you're fully prepared for the ceremony.

What to Expect

Whether in a 1-1 or group setting, our Kambo ceremonies follow a structured yet gentle process. After setting your intention, we begin with the application of Kambo to specific points on the skin, allowing the medicine to enter your lymphatic system. You will experience two distinct phases: the 'Fire Phase,' where toxins are purged from the body, and the 'Water Phase,' a period of deep relaxation and integration. Optional additions such as Sananga eye drops or Hapé snuff are available to complement your experience.

Post-treatment, we provide a nourishing meal and offer integration discussions to support you in processing your journey. We also encourage ongoing reflection and self-care in the days following your Kambo session for maximum benefit.

Safety and Preparation

Your safety and well-being are our top priorities. Our Kambo practitioners are highly trained, with years of experience in safely administering the medicine. You will receive detailed preparation guidelines before your session, including dietary recommendations and other protocols to enhance your experience. After the session, we remain available for any follow-up questions or support during your integration process.

Our Kambo ceremonies are an invitation to cleanse, heal, and reconnect with your true self.

Schedule

Arrival Day

Guests arrive in the afternoon and are welcomed onto the land, with time to settle in, rest, and attune to the space. The evening opens with a nourishing communal meal, followed by an opening circle to meet the group, outline the retreat flow, and set intentions for the days ahead.

Ceremony Day One

The first ceremony day centres on entering the Huachuma (San Pedro) process with care and presence. The morning begins gently with light, nourishing food and time to prepare. Throughout the day, the process unfolds naturally, supported by music, periods of silence, and attentive facilitation. The evening closes with grounding food and shared reflection.

Ceremony Day Two

As with the previous day, the process unfolds naturally throughout the day, supported by music, silence, and steady care. Returning to the medicine on a second day often allows for greater clarity, trust, and softness, as what opens on the first day can be met more fully. The day concludes with a nourishing meal and space for sharing and rest.

Integration & Departure

The final morning is dedicated to integration, beginning with a shared breakfast and closing circle offering reflection, practical guidance, and support for carrying insights forward. Departures take place late morning or early afternoon.
