SALTY Retreats are fitness retreats for fun-loving people. Tide is Rising is our longest adventure: 11 days that take you from the tea hills of Ella down to the surf coast of Ahangama.
You start with two nights at Arana Eco Lodge, 1,000 metres up in Ella's hills. Arrival yoga shakes off the long flights, and you visit the Nine Arches Bridge. Day 3 is yours to choose: the famous train ride, a cooking class, a tea estate or a slow day at the lodge. Then we drive south past temples and a waterfall to Wellawaya, and head out at dawn for a safari in Udawalawe National Park.
The final seven nights are at Dreamsea Ahangama, which we book out for our group only. Every day has 2–3 coached sessions, from strength, MetCon and boxing to yoga and Pilates. You also get a beginner surf package with five lessons on the break in front of the property, and free boards all week. Midweek we spend a full day together in Galle Fort, and two hosted nights out and a finale dinner close the trip.
Groups are 20 guests with 3 coaches and a photographer who captures the week. Most of our guests arrive solo, so you will meet people from day one.
Flexible check-in; checkout at 11 AM. All dietary restrictions can be accommodated with advance notice.
Your booking is subject to Movement Travel's Terms & Conditions of Booking and Sale (https://www.movementtravel.com/terms-conditions-booking-sale) and SALTY Retreats' terms (https://www.getsaltyretreats.com/terms).
BOOKING AND PAYMENT
The deposit you pay when you book is Retreat Guru’s booking/reservation fee (14% of the total price). It is not part of your travel package, it is not paid to Movement Travel, and it is not covered under the Ontario Compensation Fund. Example: on the Quad Bed at 3,199 USD, the booking fee to Retreat Guru is 447.86 USD and your travel package price is 2,751.14 USD. The total is the same price you would pay booking directly with SALTY.
After you book, Movement Travel invoices you directly for your travel package price, which you pay straight into Nexion Canada's trust account. Retreat Guru does not receive or hold any travel package funds. Half of the remaining balance is due about one month after you book, and the final half is due December 1, 2026. If you book after December 1, 2026, the full balance is due when you receive your invoice. You can also pay in full. All prices are in USD.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Booking fee (the deposit paid to Retreat Guru): refundable through Retreat Guru under its own policy, up to 1 day before the retreat starts. Travel package payments to Movement Travel: all payments are non-refundable. If SALTY cancels the retreat, Retreat Guru refunds your booking fee in full, and your travel package payments are handled under Movement Travel's terms. We strongly recommend travel insurance with trip-cancellation cover.
