Tabita is a passionate psychedelic therapy practitioner, with a special focus in bringing diversity, equity, and inclusion to the psychedelic community.
Her work is dedicated to creating inclusive spaces and elevating the voices and expertise of psychedelic practitioners from the Global South. These individuals, often part of or trained by traditional tribes, have safeguarded and preserved ancestral wisdom regarding psychedelic use for millennia. Beyond recognizing these vital contributions, Tabita specializes in accompanying diverse individuals through their unique psychedelic journeys, addressing their distinct challenges and needs.
Her approach is holistic and empathetic, recognizing that each individual’s background, culture, and personal challenges shape their experience with psychedelics.
Tabita’s service is not merely about facilitating access to psychedelic therapy; it’s about ensuring that each journey is respectful, understood and tailored to the nuances of every participant’s identity and life story.
By integrating traditional wisdom with contemporary therapeutic practices, Tabita offers a bridge between ancient healing modalities and modern needs, ensuring that the transformative power of psychedelics is accessible and relevant to all, especially those from historically marginalized communities. Through her dedicated efforts, Tabita aspires to create a more inclusive, equitable, and healed world, one psychedelic journey at a time.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, complemented by a Diploma in Organizational Psychology, and an Inclusive Leadership Certificate. She leverages her expertise to teach inclusive leadership at prestigious European institutions and has coached hundreds of individuals toward achieving their professional and personal aspirations.
In 2020, she decided to establish a Women-Centered Coaching practice, dedicating her efforts to assisting women worldwide in navigating their unique challenges through methods tailored to their individual learning and growth preferences.
Her introduction to psychedelic therapy in 2009, through an encounter with a Brazilian Ayahuasca group, marked a pivotal turn in her career and personal development. Motivated by this transformative experience, she co-founded the group’s local chapter in her hometown of Caracas, Venezuela. Her dedication to the psychedelic community deepened in 2012 when she moved to Buenos Aires to establish what would become the largest chapter of this Ayahuasca group outside Brazil. Tabita’s engagements have since expanded to include working with Yopo in collaboration with an elder from the Venezuelan Amazon, Psilocybin with Mexican practitioners, and Ayahuasca with both Peruvian Shipibo masters and Colombian Taitas.
Since 2010, Tabita has actively led and facilitated psychedelic therapy and integration sessions for hundreds of individuals and groups around the world, offering a holistic approach that combines her vast experience with a compassionate, safety-first philosophy. Her tenure as VP of People & Culture at The Synthesis Institute, a leading institution in the psychedelic field, further attests to her leadership and commitment to advancing the safe and responsible use of psychedelics.
Her approach is characterized by professionalism, meticulousness, empathy, and a deep-rooted respect for the transformative potential of psychedelics, ensuring a foundation of trust and safety for all individuals under her guidance.
