I’m Carla, a psychonaut convinced of the transformative power of working with expanded states of consciousness and its integration through a spiritual path. Psychedelics and yoga are two tools that have brought me back home, helping to reconcile me with my body and to live from a more serene place. I believe in the capacity of psychedelic substances to catalyse change at a collective level to such an extent that it is practically a duty to share what I have learned and I do it in various ways: organising events for psychonauts, holding the space in psychedelic journeys and running a yoga studio at the Catalan coast. I have no pretensions about guiding you, but rather see my role as accompanying you. I believe that what is fundamental is that each person finds, or creates a container for the experience that does not collide with their cosmovision. Rather, it should adapt to each person's cultural heritage. One must understand what one carries in order to reconcile to it.

I'm Oliver, from the UK and a teacher by profession. I work in an international university in Barcelona and teach English in the village where I live. I embarked upon a process with psilocybin mushrooms in 2018. Approaching the age of 50, and feeling restless and adventurous, I took a high dose of mushrooms in a controlled setting with a therapist. Since then I have worked with altered states of consciousness to create a series of changes in my life. I moved to the countryside, got married, started gardening and generally started to value and prioritise relationships in a way that I had not done previously. I explored practices such as meditation, drumming and chanting as a way of making me more centred in my body and in the present. I have travelled to Mexico to participate in ceremonies with curanderas and also to share knowledge with them. In addition, I started to accompany others who wished to experience a journey with psilocybin mushrooms in a controlled environment and also became active within the Psychedelic Society of Barcelona, helping to organise events and participating in discussions. More recently I have been exploring a range of therapeutic techniques such as reiki and sound therapy both for personal development and also to accompany others, whether it be on a psychedelic journey or for more everyday therapeutic purposes. I also take great pleasure in cultivating psilocybe mushrooms.

1 on 1 psychedelic session (also available for couples or small groups).

One of us will accompany you on a journey to connect with magic mushrooms in a safe and controlled setting. We'll take care of everything that can be under control in order to let you unwind and surrender to the experience.

The session could either be held in the large, comfortable and isolated house where we hold the retreats or in a yurt in the quiet and beautiful village of Alpens. Both are a couple of hours from Barcelona so we would recommend that you stay over on the night of the ceremony. In the case of the former, you would stay in the house, in the case of the later, you would stay in an apartment in the village. The option of doing the ceremony in the yurt and staying in the village is a little more economical. Alternatively, you could arrange your own accommodation.

The experience is held in the context of a personalised ceremony that will be co-created between the participant and the facilitator. There is the option of a yoga session or a sound bath, depending on the facilitator.

There will be a preparatory video-call before the day of the session and an integration call in the days after.

Availability of dates on the Retreat Guru platform is no guarantee that those dates are in fact available. Unless you are able to be very flexible around dates, please get in touch before booking so that we can check both our availability and that of the house. It is not always possible to find a date that suits everyone, and we would like to avoid having to subsequently cancel a reservation for this reason.

Schedule

There will be a preparatory online session that will include screening. In it we will get to know each other and clear all doubts. We can meet more than once if necessary.

On the day of the experience, we will meet in the morning talk about your intentions and set the altar.
If you feel like it, we will practice some yoga or sound therapy and meditation to get you in the mood for the experience.
After that, there will be space to share feelings, thoughts and expectations.
Only after body, mind and soul are aligned, you will take an optional medium to high dose of mushrooms served in a tea.
There will be practices designed to support you in your integration of the experience afterwards.

Accommodation

Accommodation is not included in the price. However for those wishing to stay over we have comfortable en-suite rooms with double or twin beds. The cost is 120€ per night. This price reflects the fact that the entire guest house will be reserved for the ceremony and your use. Alternatively, you could arrange your own accommodation in the nearby village of Alpens.

Sessions are held in a country house situated in woodland on a hillside in the pre-Pyrenees. It is an ideal location to disconnect from the noise of your day-to-day life and reconnect with yourself and with nature.

Magical time

The retreat was nothing short of magic. Oliver and Carla were extremely warm, authentic and knowledgable - creating a safe and trusting space for the group to open up and share their intentions and let go during the ceremony whilst knowing we were in capable and loving hands.

Both of Ollies and Carlas passion, love of what they do, along with a good dose of humour meant the group felt relaxed and at ease straight away.

The music Oliver creates is immensly beautiful and added a depth to the journey that I didn't know I could access. The rituals and ceremony along with periods of stillness and connection ensured a beautiful setting was created to make the most of the journey. Which was profound, awe-ful and healing.

I HIGHLY recommend this retreat and no doubt will return myself.

I cannot recommend Oliver and this retreat highly enough. Oliver’s passion and experience are evident in everything he does. From the moment we arrived, he was really welcoming, helping us explore the village of Alpens and sharing interesting insights into its history and culture.

The setting itself is so beautiful —Alpens is one of the most beautiful villages I’ve ever visited, and the location of the ceremony was truly astonishing. The psilocybin ceremony was a profound experience, and even during the more challenging moments, I always felt Oliver’s strong support and guidance. I knew I was in good hands.

Oliver’s attention to detail made all the difference: the carefully chosen music, his live performances, and even the delicious food served after the ceremony were all superb. Every aspect was thoughtfully curated to enhance the experience.
