About this Retreat
Since becoming a nun at 14, I have spent 17 years studying Buddhist philosophy, including Logic, Prajnaparamita, Madhyamika, Abhidharma, and Vinaya. Currently, I am completing the Geshema degree, equivalent to a Ph.D. My journey has deepened my understanding of reality, mind, and meditation, fueling my passion for sharing this ancient wisdom with others.
Details of this retreat
Ethical Action Retreat in the Nunnery. 8days The Ethical Exchange Experience:
Unlike traditional retreats that focus solely on meditation and personal teachings, our program offers a unique synergy.
The Power of Ethical Action: A Retreat in a Nunnery
Experienced nuns lead teachings on Buddhist concepts and meditation, while participants share their skills and knowledge with the nuns.
Perhaps you could teach an English or yoga class, or introduce young monastics to your native language. You might also assist with digital tasks or share insights about modern wellness challenges they may not be familiar with. Through this mutual exchange, you'll discover how Buddhist wisdom seamlessly integrates into daily life.
Open to all genders.
Knowledge sharing is a transformative catalyst for the monks, whose unwavering dedication to spiritual and intellectual cultivation bridges ancient wisdom with contemporary challenges. Your lived experiences become a profound lens through which these contemplative practitioners can refine their understanding of human complexity. By authentically revealing your modern struggles and personal revelations, you create a dynamic dialogue that enriches both your perspective and the monks' deep contemplative insights.
