About this Retreat
Gabriel is the co-founder of Sacred Waters Sanctuary, a lifelong musician, sound healer, and guide known for creating profound, transcendental musical experiences. His music is deeply inspired by Ayahuasca traditions from around the world, blending sacred medicine songs with heartfelt mantras and healing melodies that open the heart and calm the mind.
Gabriel’s journey into spiritual healing and sound medicine began through his own search for transformation, navigating challenges of self-worth, addiction, and anxiety. Through years of study under a revered guru in India and deep immersion in Indian classical music, Eastern Spirituality, and shamanic practices, he discovered the profound power of sound to heal, uplift, and awaken the spirit. In ceremony, Gabriel holds a grounding energy, creating a safe and sacred container for deep healing. His music and presence serves as a bridge between the seen and unseen, carrying participants into the spiritual realms with shamanic transcendence. His intuitive ability to hold space and call in the light, allows healing to unfold naturally. At Sacred Waters Sanctuary, Gabriel welcomes all who seek healing, clarity, and a deeper connection to themselves. His devotion to music as medicine ensures that every ceremony is an unforgettable experience of beauty, transformation, and spiritual awakening.
Aria Tau is the Founder of Sacred Waters and a Reverend Co-leading ceremonial retreats. She is a song weaver with an angelic voice that transports you into the angelic realms during ceremony. Aria serves as a clear channel of divine light, walking the healer path in humility and integrity and holding you in reverence as you awaken and realize the bright, undying light that shines within.
She embodies divine femininity, with her open heart and approach that is rooted in radical acceptance and compassion - two core values of the Sacred Waters Sanctuary community. This has created a culture that feels like a family for new and old members of the community. You are accepted as you are - imperfectly perfect - and held in compassion and respect as you shed the layers of self-judgement, embracing self-forgiveness and self-compassion.Aria has been working with sacred plant medicines for over a decade and has completed dietas (spiritual plant initiations) and apprenticeships to enable her to serve ayahuasca and other sacred plants in ceremonial settings. She is also a highly skilled facilitator with a background in executive leadership coaching, women's spiritual empowerment, and designing and leading transformational and healing programs. She has led over 50 retreats and transformational healing experiences and has worked with thousands to Awaken their Highest Selves through plant medicine, spirituality and neuroscience.
Aria transitioned out of a successful career in technology when she was called to the spiritual path. This led her to take the medicine back to he family in South Africa, and serve her mother, who had suffered with severe trauma and a bipolar disorder for decades. In 2023, with other heart-centered leaders, founded Sacred Waters Sanctuary - a non-profit visionary church - to help those who are seeking a safe and sacred way to heal and thrive. Candlelight Sound Healing Ceremony with Optional Vocal Channeling Workshop
Open your throat chakra and invite sacred plant medicine to awaken your musical gifts.
This is a magickal container for medicine musicians, sound healers and aspiring musicians who are looking to offer sacred prayers in plant medicine ceremonies.
Offering prayers in ceremony is a sacred service, not a performance. We must learn to become clear channels of the divine and to serve in great humility vs. singing / playing for entertainment or external validation.
It requires us to:
- Get our ego out of the way (including our own needs, fears or self-doubts)
- Learn how to connect with the sacred plants
- Allow spiritual wisdom to flow through us, rather than from us
- Intuitively know what is needed in the room for the highest good of the participants
In this two-part experience including a Medicine Prayers Workshop and Candlelight Ceremony you will
- Experience vocal awakening exercises
- Learn healing medicine songs
- Practice channeling music from the Divine
- Have a chance to offer musical prayers in a sacred plant ceremony.
Workshop: April 19th 10am-3pm at Lajja Yoga, Portland, OR
Candlelight Ceremony: April 26 from 4pm - April 27th 1pm, Kalama, WA
