Juan
Didn’t really feel welcome. My boyfriend was welcomed thought but me not so much. I am black, I was very kind and welcoming but for some reason the people at Juan’s gathering weren’t very open to me. Spoke to my boyfriend but would ignore me. It’s fine we won’t be coming back nor recommending. And the set up was so poor . 3/10 for the atmosphere and set up. The medicine its self was great.

Life Changing
This past weekend changed my life. I was able to answer a lot of questions and heal past trauma. I definitely plan on doing more retreats in the future. I'm truly grateful and highly recommend everyone to experience for themselves.

Transformational Experience
I had the opportunity of a lifetime by being called and coming to Pachamama, difficult to express how much of an impact the ceremonies and the people had on me. Taita Jhon and his wife were truly magical, their music, Yage recipe, and command of the ceremonies were the perfect conduits to connect me with Mother Aya and her unique ability to open my mind and heart. I came to her and Pachamama to face the depths of my being, to grieve, for self-mending, guidance, self-love, and to get over my anxious fears about life. I got exactly what I came for, it was a true reset for my soul and allowed me to clear some major blockages in my past that were inhibiting me from moving forward as a person.

Derek has put together something truly special and in such a beautiful sanctuary. The grounds are stunning! With trails, a sacred fire pit, a river to plunge in, a safe and secluded large retreat where you feel disconnected from the outside world but close enough to ground you. I searched for other retreats internationally and had all but booked one in South America, but checked more local and found Pachamama, I couldn't be more pleased. Derek was very gracious and allowed me to stay an additional night to process things and get ready to integrate back to my life. He even gave me a ride to the airport when my Uber didn't show up and I was close to missing my flight, I am forever grateful to him. His volunteer team was equally as impressive, just a great collection of wonderful human beings who were there to assist, guide, and be a reassuring shoulder for us while we faced our toughest pain points over the weekend. My experience with Angela and meeting Kambo for the first time was a fantastic experience that helped me better master my fears. Lastly, the family that I gained by being there will forever be special to me, we built such a strong and genuine bond with each other, it was extraordinary.

I will be coming back to Pachamama and beautiful Maine annually for this, there was so much bounty and love that surrounded me and my newly found friends. What a transformational experience all around, thank you Derek and team, Mother Aya, Taita Jhon, and my Pachamama family!

Ayauasca Dream Weekend
I could not be more grateful and impressed with my weekend ayahuasca retreat with Akawa at Pachamama Sanctuary. I had the BEST overall experience with not only the plant medicine, but every beautiful ceremony, the staff was incredibly kind and supportive, the accommodations were cozy and welcoming/safe. Derek was so knowledgeable and his words and breath work session were so helpful. I will definitely be back.

The best desicion I've ever made
I wasn't expecting anything, I prepared my self mentally and physically, I set my goals and I can't express with words what the experience did to my life, I can say that is a me before it, and after, still a lot of work to do, but so happy with the process and so far the results.
Thank you all

Mission & Vision

At Pachamama Sanctuary we commune with the Great Spirit though our sacrament, Ayahuasca. We seek to live harmoniously in truth and awareness with a deep reverence for nature. We welcome all people with kind, caring acceptance. Our community is focused largely on transforming lives by welcoming others into our sanctuary — because we have all experienced the profound spiritual communion that can be found in Ayahuasca and in one another.

Founded in 2019, and with nearly two decades of combined experience, Pachamama Sanctuary is a place to find your inner truth, and our loving, inviting vibe can be felt from the first moment you contact us. We know how difficult it can be to make your way through the challenges of life, and we want you to know that you don’t have to walk that path alone.
