7 days - 6 night Embodied Yoga retreat in Shanti Lake, South of France.
A Journey into Awareness through Movement
Embodied Yoga is an invitation to shift from the external form to the internal experience. Here, awareness leads and movement follows. Rather than striving for a "perfect" posture, you are guided to feel, sense, and listen to the body from within. This practice is not about performance or achievement; it is an exploration of movement through the triple lens of breath, sensation, and presence.
In this space, movement becomes a mirror for self-awareness. By moving with intention, we begin to recognize the subtle patterns, habits, and responses held within the mind and body, observing them with curiosity rather than judgment. Embodied Yoga honors the innate intelligence and wisdom of the body. By slowing down and refining our attention, the body becomes the teacher, and the mind becomes a receptive, quiet witness.

A Week of Integration and Presence
Our seven-day journey is designed as a gradual deepening, where each day builds upon the last to create a cohesive experience of "wholeness." The daily rhythm includes:



Embodied Asana: Posture sequences designed to awaken cellular intelligence.


Somatic Awareness: Deep dives into the felt sense of the nervous system.


Darshana: Explorations into the philosophy of non-duality, bridging the gap between practice and life.


The Power of Stillness: Dedicated periods of rest, silence, and reflection to allow the nervous system to integrate the day's insights.


Nourishment for Body and Soul
The transformation is supported by the land and the table. Our culinary team prepares vibrant, plant-based, and organic meals twice daily, brunch and dinner, using fresh ingredients that ground and sustain your energy.
During your personal time, the entirety of Shanti Lake is yours to explore. Whether you find clarity by the water’s edge, warmth in the sauna, or a quiet moment in one of our many "cosy corners," the environment is an extension of the practice itself—a sanctuary for returning to your true nature.

Schedule

Our days begin with meditation and a Yoga class, followed by a delicious brunch served by the lake. You’ll have plenty of time to rest and integrate before our afternoon session, which features a second Yoga, movement, or Pranayama class. To close the day, some evenings will include special activities such as guided meditation or a restorative sound bath.

Accommodation

We offer a variety of accommodations across our Guest House and the Chateau. For a more communal yet private experience, we also feature a beautiful dormitory equipped with comfortable capsule beds. Each room is simple, cozy, and has been fully renovated as of early 2026.

At Shanti Lake, we offer more than just a place to stay. We provide a sanctuary for rest, inquiry, and quiet reconnection. Nestled in the heart of the Domaine de la Grausse, our main house is a stunning 17th-century manor known as 'The Chateau', a place that has held a deep sense of peace long before our arrival. The estate features two beautiful Yoga Shalas, a vast and cozy guest living room with a kitchenette, a sauna, and a private lake, all set within 7 hectares of pristine private land.

At Shanti Lake, our meals are freshly prepared daily by our dedicated vegan chef and team. Every dish is organic, crafted with love and intention.

  • 3 classes per day
