About this Retreat

Details of this retreat

For those who are interested in our work, but not ready to commit for longer, or not ready for sacrifice and restrictions of master plant dieta, we are offering these social retreats in brand new branch of Psychonauta, called Psychonauta Tribe.

This is a place where stress is placed upon relational aspect of healing and growth, rather than personal development, self centered fixing of “my big problem”, we open our eyes to the beauty of connection itself, try to see what we are sharing with others, including our burdens, how we can help them, rather than always seek help, but most of all, simply be together in the experience, what is so often missing in modern world.

The purpose of these events is also to direct people who want to experience ayahuasca in jungle setting with us, but are not sure if they can manage a degree of solitude and austerity that is essential in master plant dieta properly done. Now hopefully each will choose according to their commitment and intention.

In 10 days, you get to participate in 3 ayahuasca ceremonies and finish with Huachuma ( San Pedro ) ceremony.

You are allowed to socialize with others throughout the whole event, we have daily sharing circles, processing what happened, listening to your stories, as well as option for private consultations. There will be a lot of music, fresh food, including what we don’t serve in strict dieta, like fruits. There is also access to wifi and solar panel energy to charge your devices, if you need to stay in touch with outside world.

This is designed to be a family gathering, that means that kids are also welcome, but most of all, that we build content together, so don’t expect rigid touristic schedule, like “it is 10 AM, so we have yoga class in program”. You want yoga? We have a instructor on board, you can get together and practice, but if you want to hang out in hammock in that time, reading book, that is fine. No pressure on both sides. We can explore vast forest in our backyard, can do a river trip to search for pink dolphins, there are many options.

Psychonauta Tribe means meeting of tradition and experiment, means celebration, dance, fire in the end of each ceremony, means watermelon when you are coming down from ayahuasca journey and playing with local kids in the morning.

Here we will cut attachment to trauma and go into its opposite, uninhibited, wild play.
We will not suppress fear, we will laugh with it and at it.

This will be a game that is not afraid of dark but also of ecstatic, uninhibited joy and celebration. It is not just about fixing the broken, healing the wound, being eternal patient. We are welcoming next stage, deserved, of awe and ecstasy, not just psychedelic therapy, but psychedelic misteria, primal feast of trembling being. This is healing work beyond western understanding of the medicine, where medic and trickster are one.

We realize our dream, living and working in the deep Amazon forest, near plants, close to nature, close to the local healers' community. We deeply believe in the power of medicine. We came to this piece of land in 2015, and have since then grown slowly, in a organic way, building houses and infrastructure trying to limit interference with the forest we found at the beginning.

Psychonauta is a treasure! Such a beautiful experience!
I recently completed my 10 day ayahuasca retreat and master plant dieta with Psychonauta Foundation. It was an absolutely incredible experience, I would definitely recommend this foundation to any seeking a true ayahuasca medicine experience. Our guide, Blazej, was amazing, kind, supportive, and so sincere in his practice. He is there with you for every step. His support staff were reflective in his nature, constantly providing support for participants. The individualized attention received from the shaman were powerful and deeply moving, to say the least. A very powerful experience in the jungles of Peru! I’m very grateful I was able to experience this blessing.

Amazing experience
The experience itself was incredible and intense, I learned so much about myself and now I live a fuller life for it. I was truly impressed with how dedicated all the staff was. The shamans were incredible and the facilitators were kind and supportive. When I had difficulties navigating the experience they were there to guide and support me in an instant and I managed to turn a very challenging experience into a very constructive one.

Much gratitude and thanks to everyone at Psychonauta Foundation!

Game Changer
Seriously, this whole experience here was a game changer. I’ve never taken a hallucinate before and God lead me here to do it and now I know why. Blazedj, Sebastian, Eva, Flavio, the cooking staff, the Shamans and the people going through the ceremonies with me…man what can I say? I passed up those expensive money grabbing retreats where you can stay in an a/c room and big queen bed and all that other stuff you can get at home. If you want a truly life changing experience, this is where and how to do it. Our cabins had everything I needed to survive and have an amazing experience. The treks to the Maloca, to go shower, to go out for walks on the trails was awesome! Each morning in cabin 12, I was visited by the most beautiful Blue Morpho butterfly who gave me hope and brought pure happiness to my days. I say wild monkeys and heard birds and other creatures I’ve never heard of in my life! And if you’re scared of taking Ayahuasca, as someone who has never taken a hallucinate before, there’s nothing to be afraid of. The one to fear is you. I learned a lot about me whether I wanted to or not. And though my experiences were challenging, I would never change it. I learned…a lot!

For a truly remarkable and once in a lifetime experience, do your journey here with these amazing people. You will leave blessed!

Mahalo,
Keahi

Life Changing Retreat
My experience at the Psychonauta Foundation was incredibly profound and life changing. A true detox of the mind, body and spirit.

I completed the 10-day silent retreat starting on Christmas Eve and ending the day after New Years. The retreat wasn't easy and tested me in ways I never expected. The ceremonies, although a beautiful experience, is a difficult journey to face. The dieta is tough. The silence is difficult, however, the most challenging part for me, was being alone in the jungle. The trek through the great unknowns of the jungle from my tambo to the Maloka / Mundo was a fear I didn't know I needed to mentally prepare for, all while being eaten alive by mosquitos with no cosmetics (mosquito repellent included). But to get to the ultimate form of healing, you need to pay your dues and face your fears and discomforts.

I am incredibly thankful to Bles and Sebastian (mom and dad) for watching over us and guiding us through this experience while we all crawled in the pits of hell together. I wasn't expecting to connect with the people in our retreat as much as I did (in silence), but every small gesture and smile was impactful. The last day of our ceremony as the New Years celebration fireworks were going off, a fire was lit and we were finally able to talk. As we were all coming to, and after hearing everyones intentions, deepest insecurities and struggles there was a bond felt like no other. These people became family.

Some tips: anything you can bring to the ceremonies to keep you comfortable is recommended (ie. warm clothing, socks, etc.). A sleeping bag is comfortable for the evenings to feel like you have your own space, but it's not necessary. I recommend bringing a pack of kleenex on you in a little safety bag nearby for the ceremonies as you will get very snotty. Wear long sleeves and pants when treking through the jungle to reduce mosquito bites. WATER SHOES, bring them. And remember to surrender and let go during the ceremonies. It's hard to fully surrender to the medicine, but once you do, the real healing begins.

I would 100% recommend the Psychonauta Foundation and I am so thankful to have experienced Ayahuasca for the first time here. This retreat has reminded me to start caring about myself again. I have learned the true meaning of self love and will continue shining bright light a diamond.

great place, great format, great people (10-day open Aya retreat)
I took part in the 10-day open Ayahuasca retreat and I have to say that is one of the best things I have done for a long while.

The people organizing the retreat were great and felt safe and supported throughout the process. We had a super group of participants - a great way to bond with people who were total strangers in the beginning.

The individual houses we were lodged in were great - very basic (no electricity, running water etc.) but beautifully designed and in the jungle - it was a real pleasure to sleep in the sounds of the forest and animal life.

I really liked this setup where the work done during the 3 Aya ceremonies worked as preparation for a daytime San Pedro trip. For me the work done during the nights culminated in a wonderful daytime experience that I can only describe qs spiritual.

Highly recommended this retrear and I would/will gladly do it again!
