Post dieta : stay and integrate after ayahuasca retreat or master plant dieta

These 10 days in the jungle with Psychonauta were some of the most deeply meaningful moments of my multi-year quest of expanding levels of consciousness, connection and integration. From my initial correspondence via email to being welcomed at the Foundation to being supported through each of the 4 ceremonies, my experience was warm, welcoming and supportive. The facilitators (Blez and Sebastian) were exceptionally attentive and compassionate, attending to needs as they arose and providing plenty of space for intention setting as well as post retreat integration and processing. The plain, simple meals were perfect for the dieta process and I was able to advocate for an increase in quantity 3/4 of the way through without issue. The simple yet well constructed facilities were clean, reliably water repellent and in good standing condition. Though mosquitos were present, we were able to escape them easily enough into our cabins or Mallorca.

The ayahuasca was potent and definitely put me out of my default mode of consciousness each time I imbibed - you'll be taken to whatever you need to see. But more than the potent and physically intense ayahuasca, I greatly appreciated the recovery/dieta day in between to meditate and journal alone with nothing but the sounds of the jungle as company.

In sum, the "medicine" of this whole experience was the reinforcing harmony of each aspect of the retreat: silent isolation, ritualistic/ceremonial imbibing of a mind altering (and quite uncomfortable) substance, fasting mimicking diet, electronic detox, deep immersion in nature and communal re-integration with fellow Seekers. To experience one, two or even three of these components may be a trip you reflect on as 'interesting', to put them all together and you have the recipe for a life-altering perspective shift. Psychonauta has crafted an incredibly powerful and affordable right of passage that felt accessible, valuable, welcoming and gracious. I highly recommend!

I just completed my first-ever experience with ayahuasca, and it was with Psychonauta. I originally booked a seven-day retreat but ended up extending to ten days because of how powerful and supportive the experience was. I also upgraded my room, which was absolutely worth it and added a lot of comfort during the process.

From start to finish, I have nothing but good things to say. The morning yoga, the daily structure, and the one-on-one consultations were incredibly grounding and thoughtful, and they played a huge role in helping me integrate everything that came up during ceremony. Mundo, who leads the retreat, is someone I felt an immediate and solid connection with, and his facilitation staff were truly amazing. Pablo, in particular, stood out to me, but everyone working there brought a level of care, presence, and professionalism that made me feel completely supported throughout the journey.

This was my first ayahuasca experience, but it will not be my last. I’m already trying to make it back, hopefully in late January, though it may end up being next year. Either way, I know I’ll return. I’m deeply grateful for the experience and for the people at Psychonauta who made it what it was.

I'm afraid that most words I can think of do not come close to how grateful I am for taking this journey of self-discovery and healing. It can be scary taking a deep look inside yourself. I used to be someone who never believed in spiritual experiences. To me, it always sounded like “esoteric nonsense” – until I decided to try it for myself. Today, I am endlessly grateful that I took this journey.

Through Ayahuasca I was able to discover something profound: the spiritual soul truly exists – and I was able to see and feel it. Since then, I have overcome many of my fears, released blockages, and I feel freer than ever before. The guidance on site was wonderful. Rabia supported me with incredible kindness and mental strength, and Tatamundo carried everything with such calmness and professionalism that I always felt safe and in good hands.

The community itself was a true gift: people from all over the world, open-hearted, kind, and authentic. Even though I am usually a rather closed-off person who tends to stay on my own, I felt immediately welcomed in this group.
