About this Retreat
It is one of the main aspects of Ângelo’s work as a therapist, facilitator and trainer: Shamanism. His first contact with shamanic practices occurred as a young adult, during the period he lived in the community in Galicia. Here, he learned to live in close communion with Nature, to work with its elements, and was introduced to practices based on Druidry and Celtic traditions, which served as the basis of the community’s lifestyle. These teachings had a profound impact on Ângelo’s life, on his spiritual growth and desire to know more about the holistic dimension of the Human Being.
His connection to Shamanism became deeper when he began his travels to South America and met a Paqo, an Inca shaman, who introduced him to the spiritual and multidimensional knowledge of the culture of the Q’eros, a tribe with whom he had been private during his your stays in Peru. All these experiences contribute today to Ângelo’s unique signature as a Sound Healer, in the use of Canto Medicina and shamanic instruments such as the drum, the flute (from Nazca, the Avuelos, from both hemispheres, Native American Flute), the antaras, the hissing vessels, ocarinas and icaros, among others, combined with more common instruments in the area of Sound Healing.
Passionate about nature, philosophy and freedom, Carolina was born in Lisbon in 1991. From an early age she dedicated herself to Painting, Music and Yoga - she considers this to be the trinity that makes her express everything she is.
Yogini since 2009, yoga teacher since 2013, in the same year Carolina founded the music group MERU where she intuitively composes, sings, plays indian sitar, adufe, native american flute, among others. In 2015, Carolina created a solo project The Sarasvati Experience, a meditative and expansive sound journey, guided by ancestral chants and musical instruments from different corners of the Earth. The Sarasvati Experience expands itself into a group experience, of self-development and transmutation, combining yoga, painting and music.
Based in Ericeira, Portugal, by the atlantic ocean, Carolina teaches regular yoga classes to the community, facilitates retreats, sound journeys, concerts and workshops. Through her work, she feels the mission to awaken in others awareness, sensitivity, compassion, healing and creativity.

Plant medicines can be psyche-shattering while carrying enormous potential to re-imagine oneself from the ground up. In this process, we, as facilitators, do our best to assist with absolute compassion and gentleness, while also having the strength to hold safe space for the primitive material that comes to the surface during the retreat. It is our job to provide a secure base which will allow for deep experiences to unfold.
Keeping company, containing, ensuring safety and connection when sought for, paying careful attention, and surrendering to what the situation calls for— these are our goals as facilitators. We follow, accompany, support so your healing is safe and grounded as much as possible.
INTEGRATION
As we offer these experiences, we also acknowledge the need for integration and preparation. That is the only safe way to work in these spaces.
The challenge is to weave together insights, downloads, visions, and mystical experiences in order to translate them into greater wisdom and loving- kindness in daily life. Following the retreat, we offer an integration session with the group. In addition, should you need it, we highly recommend therapy sessions with our handpicked guides.
Plant medicines can reveal the baggage that you have carried all your life, and when you acknowledge it, you can finally put it down. In the right context this is a very deep experience, and it is our role as facilitators to create that context.
AFTER THE RETREAT
We encourage participants to take a couple of days away from society, both before and especially after the retreat. The process of transformation is still extremely powerful in the first few days, and the psyche is too tender to be returned abruptly to day to day life.
We’ll stress again the importance of integration, either with a therapist chosen by yourself or one recommended by us, or even by yourself. Two weeks after the retreat we hold an online sharing circle, which is a wonderful occasion to talk about your realisations and hear your fellow travellers speak about theirs.
Also, if you accept, you will be added to the extended circle of the Prana spiritual family, as we grow together into a community of people dedicated to personal and societal spiritual growth.
