About this Retreat
Hi, Iβm Luciana.
I hold a deep sense of knowing that healing is not about fixing what is broken, but rememberingthat nothing ever was. I am a trained Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) therapist, and my work is rooted in the belief that nature is our essential teacher. When we stop fighting our emotions, thoughts, and inner contradictions, clarity and dignity begin to emerge. Self compassion is not something we add on top of the experience. It grows naturally when we understand why we feel what we feel.
My own path has been shaped by years of inner exploration, therapeutic training, and lived experience. Alongside my clinical work, I have spent many years exploring plant medicine, both personally and in retreat settings, as well as a wide range of contemplative and healing practices. These experiences taught me that insight alone is not enough. What truly matters is how experiences are held, prepared for, and integrated into daily life.
I do not identify as a shaman, and I do not borrow traditions that are not mine. I approach plant medicine with respect, humility, and clear boundaries, always emphasizing choice, safety, and integration. I see medicine as a support for awareness, not as something that heals for us.
People often describe my presence as joyful, grounded, and non judgmental. In my retreats, there is space for silence, emotion, rest, and reflection, deep conversations, without pressure to perform or transform. Nothing needs to be forced, achieved, or fixed.
I work especially well with people who feel tired of fighting themselves, who experience strong inner tension or self judgment, and who are looking for a more humane way of meeting themselves.
Thank you for being here. I look forward to walking alongside you, with care and respect, wherever your path leads.
Chuma is the 2nd gentle giant (next to Isher) at The Lighthouse. Chuma is a master teacher in joy and authenticity. He will be in and around the house, so please be aware if you're allergic or afraid of dogs.
Hi, this is Isher. I'm particularly interested in working with people who have a history of depression, addiction or people who are just looking take hold of their lives again. Anyone who's interested in exploring their inner urge to expand their consciousness without the fear of being judged will always have my full attention and loving respect.
After living 30 years of my life living with recurring depression, a feeling of not belonging and a general sense of not knowing who i am or why i'm here, i decided it was time to do some serious work on myself and. I started meditating and it certainly helped with being able to witness myself and my behavioral patterns and moods. But why was i having these patterns and moods? What was underneath them? I came across a man called Dr Gabor Mate (An expert in trauma, addiction, stress and childhood development) around 8 years. This lead me to the use of plant medicines. First with Ayahuasca (which showed my the roots cause of my behavior patterns as well as helping me shed my mental and spiritual pollution that i felt society had installed in me. Then with San Pedro/Huachuma which i feel made me complete again and gave me my clear focus, mental strength and a purpose in life.
I decided to focus mainly on working with San Pedro as i have so much respect for the gentle and patient nature of the medicine. I don't claim to be a shaman like in the South America traditional sense. I totally respect the shamanic ways and have work and journeyed with Shamans, but I feel this tradition is a sacred one that is so often exploited and by westerners. Shamanic ceremonies should only be conducted by genuine shamans of which they are few a far between in my experience. I also feel that experiencing your journey with loving support and with as little distractions or interference as possible gives the participants the deepest and most transformational experience. I'm descried as being a gentle giant and a big open heart. I offer plenty experience working with medicines as well as safety and protection. I'm originally from the UK but now living in Portugal where we have the perfect location to truly work with this medicine at it's best.
I strongly believe in everyone's individual reality, and that everything is just how it's supposed to be. I feel that we should try our best to embrace our fears and emotions, not run away or drown in to them and we should always show gratitude to the human experience. Life and awareness truly is a blessing.
Blessing on your travels
Isher

π Welcome Home!
Our Private Psilocybin Retreat for Anxiety Disorder & Depression welcomes the wholeness of your humanity; the clarity and the confusion, the ease and the discomfort, the parts that feel settled and the parts that feel unresolved. Here, your full human experience has a place, without pressure to perform or be someone other than who you are.
This retreat is designed as a private two-day, one-night experience, offering a quiet and supported space to explore the mind, the body, and the relationship between them.

β―οΈ Our Approach
This retreat places as much importance on preparation and grounding as on the psilocybin ceremony itself.
Experiences such as anxiety disorder or depression can be deeply painful and overwhelming. Rather than approaching these states only as problems to eliminate, our work invites a different starting point: meeting these experiences with clarity, compassion, and curiosity.
From this perspective, symptoms of anxiety or depression can also be understood as meaningful signals from the mind and body; expressions of a system that may be asking for attention, care and understanding. Part of the perspective that informs our work is the sense that healing is not about fixing what is broken, but about remembering nothing ever was - by learning to listen to what in us is asking to be seen, understood and accepted.
Through psychotherapeutic conversations, time in nature, and one carefully held psilocybin ceremony, the retreat creates space to gently explore the relationship between mind and body, and to approach your inner experience with greater understanding and self-trust.
π§π½βπ€βπ© The Facilitator
This retreat is held by Luciana, a certified psychotherapist with experience working with anxiety, depression, and psychedelic-assisted processes.
Luciana does not describe herself as a shaman or spiritual leader. Quite the opposite. The approach is grounded, human, and relational. The intention is to hold a space where you can feel comfortable enough to explore your experience with safety, honesty, and openness.
ποΈ The Venue
Held in a quiet and cozy house in the heart of the Douro Valley in Portugal, the retreat takes place on peaceful land surrounded by nature. As you walk the land, you will find many quiet and comfortable corners to slow down, be by yourself, and enjoy the simple experience of being held by nature.
The house itself is humble yet comfortable, creating a calm, home-like environment where safety, presence, and simplicity are central. The property offers fruit trees you can pick from, as well as pine groves with comfortable platforms nestled among the trees where you can sit, rest, or reflect.
