Huni Kuin Wisdom with Pajé Ninawa Pai Da Mata & Liana Aya
--> Ibiza, 18-22 March
Opening each person’s connection with their own essence and thus with the divine.
EXPAND SELF-AWARENESS AND WELLBEING WITH “The University of my own existence”
Not theory; it is living practice. A precise synthesis that meets you at every level of your being. Immerse yourself in a tapestry of experiences that nurture your well-being and elevate your spirit in your daily life. This gathering is a sanctuary for those seeking a deeper connection with themselves, their communities, the environment, the meaning of their lives.
Huni Kuin: One of the most ancient and culturally rich Indigenous peoples of the western Amazon, guardians of vast territories stretching across the forests of Acre, Brazil, and Ucayali, Peru. At its heart stands Nixi Pae, their sacred plant brew, known to the world as ayahuasca. Through the ceremonies guided by the elders and healers, the Huni Kuin commune with the spirit world, receiving visions, teachings, and songs (huni meka) that transmit wisdom from the ancestors and the forest beings. These songs are not performances; they are living codes that sustain balance, health, and guidance within the community.
***RITUALS***
* Rapeh Circle, The Medicine of Focus & Connection: Guided by the Huni Kuin, the Rapeh circle becomes a moment of grounding and spiritual alignment. As the sacred blend is blown with intention, participants are invited to enter a state of clarity, presence, and inner listening. Traditional songs accompany the medicine, calling the forest spirits and opening a path for emotional, energetic, and mental cleansing. This ritual prepares the mind and heart for the coming days, Dissolving tension and reconnecting you to your essence.
* Ancestral Chants & The Living Language of the Forest: These melodies carry teachings, protections, and spiritual codes that guide healing work. Tupa brings the feminine voice of her people, weaving prayers that soften the heart and awaken intuition. These chants are not music — they are tools of transformation that help align your emotional body, clear energetic fields, and reconnect you with forgotten inner strength.
* Sananga – The Drops of Clarity: Sananga is a sacred eye medicine made from the root bark of a powerful forest shrub (Tabernaemontana undulata). Prepared with prayers and intention, it is applied as eye drops that cause an intense burning sensation — an immediate purification, to clear inner and outer vision, to align perception with truth. It cleanses energetic blockages, sharpens intuition, and strengthens connection to the Uni spirit. According to their elders, when Sananga enters the eyes, it burns away illusions, allowing the person to see life as it truly is — both spiritually and emotionally.
* Hampaya, Your Soul's Voice: In this Hampaya ceremony, Ninawa will invoke the spirit of the Txana bird, a wise bird that can imitate the sounds of all the other birds and animals of the forest and is the best singer. He will apply crushed chili peppers to participants' tongues and share traditional prayers to invite the Txana spirit into each person. This allows the opening and strengthening of the participant's voice and memory, helping them sing, express themselves better, and to learn songs.
* Sacred Paintings – The Language of Spirit: The intricate body paintings of the Huni Kuin are not decoration but sacred codes. Created with the dark pigment of the genipapo fruit (huito), these designs are drawn on the skin during ceremonies, rituals, or moments of celebration. Each line represents a prayer — protection, harmony, or gratitude. The patterns are received through dreams or visions, reflecting the songs and stories of the forest spirits. When painted, the body becomes a living canvas of consciousness, an interface between the seen and unseen. These paintings teach identity, memory, and belonging. They remind each person of who they are in the great design of nature.
* The Integrative Bridge with Liana Aya: Liana weaves the ancient teachings into a living, accessible pathway for modern life, guiding participants to understand how these cosmovisions can support emotional regulation, inner clarity, and regenerative personal transformation. She facilitates a reflective integration moment: grounding insights, translating ancestral symbols into practical meaning, helping participants recognise what personal cycle is opening. Importance: Without integration, ancestral teachings remain as experiences. With Liana’s guidance, they become transformation.
* Sacred Reciprocity: For the Huni Kuin, reciprocity is the sacred law that sustains life — giving back to what gives to us. Every breath, every medicine, every drop of water exists through exchange. Supporting their work means honoring this law: when resources flow back to the forest, balance is restored. Funds destined to regeneration in the Amazon are not charity; they are part of the same medicine. They nourish reforestation, cultural preservation, and traditional education, ensuring that the knowledge of the true people continues to protect the lungs and spirit of the Earth.
To give is to heal — the Earth, the people, and ourselves.
***Guardians of Ancient Wisdom***
* Ninawa Pai Da Mata is known worldwide for his profound wisdom and devotion to the ancestral ways of the forest. As a pajé (spiritual guide), he is a carrier of the sacred Nixi Pae tradition—the Huni Kuin’s ancestral medicine known as ayahuasca. Through songs (huni meka), prayers, and deep communion with plant spirits, he shares teachings that reveal the forest's spiritual architecture and the interconnection of all beings. His voice bridges Indigenous cosmology and the modern world, reminding us that healing is personal and planetary, with every breath, tree, and heart as threads of the same web of life.
