About this Retreat
Melanie discovered yoga's transformational power while traveling in India in 2009. Over the years, she deepened into her practices exploring asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophy, chanting, kundalini kriya as well as Usui Reiki Healing.
She has completed over 700 hours of teacher training across multiple yoga styles and holds a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology Movement Sciences from San Francisco State University.
Melanie shares a holistic approach to yoga, viewing the different modalities as maps to explore the vast landscapes of our multilayered human experience.
Students describe her teaching style as nurturing, inspiring, and accessible to practitioners of all levels. Her classes will guide you through an embodied journey of self-discovery and empowerment.
Having previously taught at Talalla Retreat from 2016-2018, she is returning to share yoga as a path to innate wholeness.
Marjorie is a yoga and meditation teacher whose path began in 2000, guided by deep listening to the body and the subtle language of awareness. Rooted in Iyengar Yoga and enriched by Yin, Vinyasa, Kundalini, meditation, and energy healing, her teaching invites presence, softness, and inner clarity. She offers a grounded yet luminous space where students reconnect with themselves and rediscover the quiet joy of being. Creating inclusive and supportive retreat environments for an international audience. Her approach emphasizes safety and deep listening, allowing participants to slow down, reconnect with their bodies, calm the nervous system, and cultivate clarity and vitality.
Details of this retreat
The Restore Retreat is a relaxed and nourishing yoga retreat designed to balance daily practice with plenty of time to rest, unwind, and slow down. Flow through uplifting, dynamic, and conscious movement before settling into restorative moments of breath, meditation, and stillness.
This retreat is an invitation to regulate the nervous system, restore balance, and come home to your Self—leaving you feeling grounded, present, and deeply nourished. At the heart of this retreat is a gentle, intentional rhythm. Each day includes two yoga sessions—an energising, active practice in the morning to awaken the body, and a Yin or Restorative practice in the evening to unwind, soften, and settle into rest—creating a natural balance between movement and stillness.
This rhythm supports the nervous system to regulate naturally, without pressure or intensity. Two workshops available during the retreat to deepen your understanding of yoga. Time in our Bath House—including a sauna, steam room, cold plunge, and magnesium pool—massage, and time in nature all work together to support deep restoration on every level.
Spaciousness is also built into the schedule, with time to swim, explore, reflect, or simply slow down, allowing the experience to meet you exactly where you are. This retreat isn’t about doing more. It’s about tuning in, softening, and creating the conditions to truly restore, reconnect, and come home to your Self.
