Selina Gullery is an internationally respected yoga teacher, teacher trainer, intuitive chef, and translator.
With a B.A. in Modern Languages from Trinity College Dublin, she blends linguistic precision with a profound dedication to embodied wisdom and the yogic path.
Her journey began in 1996 and deepened through ten transformative years of travel and study with Himalayan yogi Swami Samarpanananda.
Since then, Selina has immersed herself in a variety of yoga lineages — notably Prana Flow Yoga with Shiva Rea and the Somatic Movement Arts, as well as Kashmiri Shaivism, Feldenkrais, and Somatic Experiencing.
Her ongoing training in Body-Mind Centering, Trauma Resolution, and Yoga of Sound reflects a lifelong commitment to yoga as a direct, evolving experience of Self.
In recent years, Selina has turned toward the deep well of her own Irish heritage, engaging with the myths, poetry, and ancestral teachings of her homeland. She is a Senior Teacher at the Celtic School of Yoga, co-leading annual retreats with folklorist and founder Jack Harrison. This work forms the heart of what she calls “a yoga of homecoming” — a return to essence, through earth, story, breath, and song.
Her teaching — whether in classes, retreats, or trainings — is both grounded and expansive. She fosters self-love, embodied presence, and the courage to embrace one’s imperfections as pathways to transformation. Her style is poetic yet practical, rooted in ancient wisdom and modern science, and always attuned to the unique rhythm of each student.
Selina has presented at leading international festivals, including:
Bali Spirit Festival (Indonesia)
Udaya Live (Bulgaria)
Boom Festival (Portugal)
Chamonix Yoga Festival, Geneva Yoga Festival, Aix-en-Provence Yoga Festival, Avoriaz Yoga Festival (France)
Cologne Yoga Festival (Germany)
She teaches in English, French, and German, and currently offers workshops, trainings, and retreats across Europe and beyond.
