Emilia Volz
About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Emilia was raised within two Buddhist communities: Shambhala and Mangala Shri Bhuti. She began practicing as a teenager, attending Sun Camp and Shambhala Training. In 2012, she became a student of Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche, attending the Shechen Seminar in Croatia for several years. Emilia continues to serve Shechen Monastery as an advisory board member for the Dilgo Khyentse Fellowship, based in North America.
In 2019, Emilia attended a Profound Treasury Retreat with Judy Lief, finding a genuine connection to the living teachings of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche. She now serves as Vice-President of the Profound Treasury Retreat Foundation and is part of the teaching faculty. Emilia remains committed to supporting the continuation of Trungpa Rinpoche’s teachings and practices.
Professionally, Emilia works in public health and grant administration. She enjoys the wilderness of Colorado, fantasy novels, the company of friends and family, and the reality show Survivor.
