Celia Panduro Huayta
About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Celia is from the Shipibo ethnic group of the Peruvian Amazon, and comes from the native community of Kaan, set along the Ucayali river. She has been working with the plant medicines for the last 25 years.
At the age of 15 Celia's grandfather, an ancient Shipibo shaman, taught her how to work with the medicines. She later did her apprenticeship with maestros such as by Don Javier Arevalo and Don Daniel Ramos Vargas.
Celia is an international known curandera and travels around the world as a maestra and she also has her own center in Iquitos.
She is a warm, gentle and humorous woman. Her Icaros are without a doubt the most powerful and beautiful you will ever hear.
