Why study with them?

Julia “Jiryu” Krupa brings extensive experience in contemplative practice, facilitation, spiritual care, and deep listening. She is a founding member of the Sangha Harmony Advisory Council (SHAC), which serves the Mountains and Rivers Order through dialogue, relationship-building, and practices of mutual understanding. Jiryu has trained with the Mountains and Rivers Order since 2007 and pursued residential monastic practice for nearly a decade. She has completed Foundations in Contemplative Care through New York Zen Center and currently volunteers with the spiritual care team at Mount Sinai West in Manhattan. She is also continuing her studies in Buddhist education, contemplative care, and end-of-life support. Through her work and practice, Jiryu is committed to creating compassionate spaces where people can bring grief, uncertainty, and life’s difficult transitions into community and shared reflection.
