Russell Taplin

Russell, originally from England but now residing in Costa Rica, has been on the medicine path since 2012 working with both mushrooms and Ayahuasca. Central to his own practice is the Mestizo Vegetalista Ayahuasca tradition of the Amazon jungle in Peru. Working directly with the healing plants and master Curanderos through dieta he has come to an understanding of what it means to sit in ‘Gentle Presence’ and how to create a sacred container for those entering the psychedelic realms and looking for healing.

After studying the shamanic methods of the Mestizo and other cultures he realized, through personal experience, the benefits and importance of Western therapeutic models and tools being used alongside our ancestral medicines. Believing that the full integration of both of these approaches to healing will lead to lasting and fully integrated benefits to participants of deep medicine work.

Working with various healing and medicine retreats over the years and incorporating tools such as meditation, breathwork, sound healing and somatic therapy into his own practice, he has gathered a world class team of medicine practitioners and therapists to ensure that you get the most from your experience.
