About the Teacher

Why study with them?

Eliane is a talented multi-discipline aerial teacher. Currently teaching at the École Supérieure du Centre National des Arts du Cirque in Châlons-en-Champagne, France. She earned her diploma in circus arts training from the École Nationale de Cirque de Montréal in Canada in 2007 and taught aerial disciplines there until 2021, since then she continues to be involved in the circus arts teacher training program. Her aim as a teacher is to help acrobats develop their own personal technical vocabulary.

Eliane's diverse educational background includes a bachelor's degree in literature, as well as diplomas in socio-cultural and sports fields. Before pursuing her international artistic career, she practiced dance, climbing and gymnastics. She also has a diploma in jazz and contemporary dance teaching from the Fédération Française de Danse.

Her exploration of vertical dance and dance climbing inspired her to create aerial choreography on rope, trapeze, pole, and fabric, leading her to the world of "contemporary circus." Eliane was trained in aerial work by various circus pedagogues in France, who helped her earn a diploma in acrobatic work and difficult access.

Eliane has collaborated with several renowned companies throughout her career, including Cirque Baroque - Puits aux Images and Mauricio Celedon's Teatro del Silencio. She has also developed projects around aerial work at high altitudes and received the prestigious 2020 Médaille d'Or from the Académie des Arts Sciences et Lettres de Paris
