Wes Chapin, DVM

About the Teacher

Why study with them?

Wes Chapin is a veterinarian, practice owner, and advocate for resilience in the veterinary profession. Over the past 18 years, he has grown his New Hampshire–based practice to 22 doctors, gaining firsthand insight into the pressures veterinarians and their teams face—long hours, emotional strain, physical fatigue, and the challenge of caring deeply for both patients and people while maintaining a full life outside of work.

Wes has personally experienced burnout and understands its impact at every level. His involvement with Veterinary Management Group (VMG) marked a turning point, helping him build a more balanced, sustainable approach to leadership and life. Since then, he has intentionally adopted practices that strengthen resilience, support mental and physical well-being, and create greater presence, fulfillment, and connection.

Through his work with Bounce, Wes is committed to helping veterinary teams cultivate resilience and build healthier, more sustainable careers. He believes the future of veterinary medicine depends on supporting the individuals within it—starting with awareness, self-care, and purposeful leadership.

Outside of practice, Wes finds grounding and joy in simple, meaningful moments: traveling with his family, spending time at his camp in Maine, and soaking up every minute with his first granddaughter. He enjoys conversations about business and entrepreneurship, and in his free time can often be found milling wood, building timber frame structures, fishing, reading, exercising, or meditating—always with the intention of growth, balance, and living with purpose.
