Your Guides
Malaika dedicated herself to create sacred space in ritual and ceremony to help restoring balance to people's distorted civilized culture. She is a qualified ISHTA yoga teacher, water dance practitioner, African dance performer and teacher, as well as the creator of 5 Elements Dance Activation - a shamanic dynamic meditation dance journey embodying the five cardinal elements namely earth, water, fire, air, and spirit. She has been facilitating groups for more than 25 years in India, Australia, Africa, China, USA, Costa Rica, Europe, and Egypt.

Are you ready to create ecstatic dance journeys to uplift your community? Ecstatic Dance is the new yoga that is sweeping the world and returning people to their bodies, uplifting their spirits, and creating communities committed to full free expression. The 5Elements Ecstatic Dance DJ Training is for beginners who want to learn how to DJ, or for yoga instructors or breathwork facilitators who would like to learn how to create transformational musical journeys. You will be dancing and doing embodiment practices daily, while you master the skills and tools necessary to go out and start to host your own ecstatic dance journeys. This is an experience of a lifetime to learn in paradise in stunning North Bali with other like-minded Souls and take your life to the next level!
Schedule
On the first and last day, opening and closing ceremonies will be held.
Format for each day is as follows.
06:00 Sunrise daily intention setting and ocean swim to being your day
07:00 Tea break
07:30 - 08:30 Elemental morning movement practices (this may be yoga, kundalini, dynamic meditation, or dance. Each day progresses and follows the elements.
09:00 - 10:00 Breakfast
11:00 - 12:30 DJ Skills 101
13:00 15:00 Lunch break and free time
15:00 - 17:30 DJ skills and facilitation practicals
18:30 Sunset magic by the ocean, singing, silence, or drumming
19:00 - 20:00 Dinner
22:00 Lights out and silence
Some evenings will be free time for integration, journaling, and Q&A, alternating with fire ceremony, cacao ceremony, tea ceremony, and sharing circle. Mid-training, you will have one free day to go to one of Bali's most incredible waterfalls for a purification ceremony before we start the second week.
Week Two
Similar to week one and including practicals, each student will have the opportunity to DJ for an ecstatic dance for the whole group and receive vital feedback.
The schedule is a beautiful combination of Structure, Yang or Masculine-focused energy to learn the new skill of DJing, and Creativity, flow, expression, Yin or Feminine expression with lots of embodiment practices to stay grounded.
The last day of the training will be complete with the bonus of learning the art of serving sacred cacao ceremonially.

Directions
A taxi can be organized to pick you up from the airport to bring you to Ubud or the surrounding area and then you will be picked up on the 4th in the morning to bring you to North Bali and this is included in the cost of the training.
Please note when booking your flights the training finishes at 2 pm on the 18th and it is important to attend and get your certificate. It is a 2-hour drive to get to the airport and for international flights it's advised to be there 2-3 hours in advance.
It is highly recommended to arrive a few days before the training begins to climatize, get a massage, pick up anything you may have forgotten, and get over your jet lag before we begin the training. It is also strongly recommended to allow at least a day or two to rest after the training so you have time for integration, relaxing, and getting another massage, or try one of Ubuds' high vibe events before you have to fly back. In My Elements can help with suggested places to stay depending on your budget and will drop you off in Ubud post-training.

Accommodation
All bungalows are only steps away from the ocean whose rhythm will lull you to sleep after stretching your mind body and spirit daily. Each bungalow is decorated in the same beautiful hand-crafted Balinese style and features the same kind of décor, look, and artistry in each of the villas and bungalows. Included in the cost of the training is shared accommodation with two separate beds and private bathrooms, linen, and your room is cleaned daily. Your roommate usually becomes your best friend for life, as you go through the experiences together, but if you prefer to have your own room, you can for an additional fee.
