Amy Block

Amy has a BFA from Syracuse University’s School for Visual and Performing Arts, studying studio arts, ceramics, and special education. She also has a Master's in Special Education from Widener University. Amy teaches pottery classes to adults with physical and cognitive disabilities since retiring as a special education teacher and as a supervisor of a day program for special needs adults. Her current work utilizes a multidisciplinary approach producing nature inspired clay vessels and, most recently, acrylic abstract paintings on canvas and clay. The beauty of nature’s colors and organic forms as well as music are Amy's inspiration, focusing on textures on the clay surface as well as on a 2-D canvas. https://www.amyblockstudioarts.com
