Mission & Vision

Sinchi Runa is an intimate ayahuasca and master plant retreat center dedicated to healing through the search for truth and understanding. The institute was founded by Peruvian Master Sanango, with over 30 years of experience working with ayahuasca, with an Amazonian training and structure and a variety of shamanic master plants and natural entheogens.

We specialise in Ayahuasca Sessions, Master Plant Diets (shamanic diets), short or long term treatments for addiction and depression, deep immersion processes and intensive retreats. We merge the wisdom and direct experience that plants bring with the Vedic teachings through Ayurvedic healing, astrology, lectures, mantras and spiritual practices.

We are located in the beautiful and quiet countryside about 1 hour from both Seville and Faro Airport (Portugal) in the Spanish region of Andalucia.
Our retreat venue is immersed in nature, in a forest garden bordering a nature reserve. You wake up to the sound of the wind and the birds, sleeping in tents interspersed between the trees.

Getting Here

Sinchi Runa, We are located in the quiet countryside of Huelva, Andalucia, with airports approximately 1 hour drive away (Faro Portugal & Sevilla Spain).

Directions

We are located in the Spanish region of Andalucia, close to the border of Portugal and about 1 hour from Seville or Faro airport. The closest big city to us is Huelva from where a transfer will pick you up and take you to our retreat center. There are daily connections from both Seville and Faro to Huelva. NYE 2025 Retreat @ Sinchi Runa

What an incredible, somewhat indescribable experience the New Years Eve Retreat @ Sinchi Runa (Spain) was. The setting within itself was beautiful and extremely serene being that it was a silent retreat. The amenities were clearly described and extremely well put.

The staff are all brilliant, shining human beings. From the Maestro himself, Mr Sanango's humour and ease of presence. To Ananda the 2nd hand man.. to Arjuna, Paul, Helge, Mikeala and Andrea... each of them brought a special energy and aura to our special retreat.

Great experience, expertly held

My experience at Sinchi Runa was beautiful. It challenged me - as meaningful experiences that require one to turn inwards often do - and the retreat team was there throughout to hold the process with care, skill and consistency. For a week, I felt that I was transported into a timeless place where I could bring myself deeper and deeper into the practice of presence. Several weeks afterwards, I can still feel its effects, and I'm now doing the work needed to bring my insights into daily life. Beautiful retreat

Two years ago I did my first dieta (with Ajo Sacha) and in May of last year I joined the Vedic immersion retreat at Sinchi Runa, dieting with Bobinsana. For the Vedic retreat Daru Krishna was also present to give information about each person's astrological chart and he gave great insights about Ayurveda.

I am deeply grateful for Sanango's wisdom, sometimes harsh when needed :), and the rest of the team for always being there if any doubts or questions arise or if you just need a hug or a cry.

The food has always been great! Nourishing and you can feel the care that has been put in to make it.

The location in Lepe is away from any busy areas and is perfect for a silent retreat communicating with nature.

Grateful for the insights gained and all the teachings learned!

An unbelievable journey within a safe and loving space 🪷

Sinchi Runa is a tranquil, safe, loving environment. A space that just allowed me to just be during my retreats.
Greeted with warmest, welcoming smiles from the team, which instantly helped me feel cared for.
We were all introduced and given an overview of how everything runs, along with the importance of silence, and what silence actually is.
We were assured that the silence doesn't extend to the team if and when needed; I (the group) could talk to Maestro Sanango, Ananda, Madhava or Arjuna.
I found that questions were not only welcomed but encouraged, Maestro Sanango wanted everyone to have as much information as possible on the plants, the process, philosophies, how we're cared for, why the guidelines are there. Everything seems to have a place and a purpose. All this just added to my feeling of safety and care.

The meditations were really very helpful, learning to focus on the breath, everything just seems to be in order to help the participants truly get the most out of their experience and journey.
The ceremonies guided expertly and beautifully by Maestro Sanango, he sings and chants as well as playing solely instrumental music through a speaker, which was all beautiful and purposeful.

The team are professional, experienced, caring, loving and so welcoming.

The site is clean, hygienic and well looked after.
The food is season appropriate and so full of love (i've had retreats both in colder snd warmer months), and as I saw it happily caters to all.

I can't recommend Sinchi Runa more highly from my experience.
