Mission & Vision
Monte da Orada is a retreat venue in southwest Portugal, set on 71 hectares of forest near the Atlantic coast. We exist to hold space for facilitators and retreat leaders, providing the land, the rooms, the food, and the on-site support so they can focus on their groups. We're not a retreat organiser — we're a home for meaningful group experiences, from yoga and meditation to teacher trainings and creative gatherings. Our practices are rooted in sustainability and care for the land, and we believe the best retreats don't need to be overproduced. They need good food, honest spaces, a team that pays attention, and a setting that does some of the work for you.

Our practice spaces include the Panoramic Nave (120m², fully equipped with sound system, projector, AC, and yoga props for 40 mats), the Meditation Temple (125m², adobe and stone, seats 40), and the Panoramic Deck (120m² outdoor space with valley views). We also have a Sacred Fire Amphitheatre, a natural biopool, a sauna, a massage room, and a Food Temple with indoor and outdoor dining for 40. The property covers 71 hectares with nature trails, a freshwater creek, and cork oak forest.

Directions
Monte da Orada is located near São Teotónio, in the municipality of Odemira, southwest Portugal. The address is Estrada Nacional 120, Km 112.5, São Teotónio.
The two nearest international airports are Lisbon (220 km, approximately 2.5 hours by car) and Faro (140 km, approximately 1.5 hours by car). Both airports are well served by major European airlines and low-cost carriers.
By car, from Lisbon head south on the A2 motorway towards the Algarve, then exit towards Odemira and São Teotónio via the IC4 and N120. From Faro, head north on the A22 and then the A2, exiting towards Odemira. Car hire is available at both airports.
By train, take the CP rail service to St. Clara Sabóia station (approximately 3 to 4 hours from Lisbon, 3 hours from Faro, around €60), then a taxi to Orada (approximately 40 minutes).
By bus, Rede Expressos runs services from Lisbon to São Teotónio and Zambujeira do Mar (3 to 4 hours).
Airport taxi transfers can also be arranged: Lisbon approximately €260 for a 4-seater or €300 for an 8-seater, Faro approximately €160 for a 4-seater or €200 for an 8-seater.
The nearest town is São Teotónio, five minutes by car, with supermarkets, pharmacies, and cafés. The final 2 km to Orada is along an unpaved track — well maintained but best driven slowly.
