Choza Del Mundo is a sanctuary for reconnection—with ourselves, each other, and with nature. Our mission is to transform our relationship with the natural world through deep, restorative experiences.
In a time when rapid development strains the Earth’s resources, communities suffer, biodiversity declines, and cultural wisdom fades, Choza offers a path back to balance.
After 15 years of reforestation and mindful creation, our nature preserve exists as a living experiment in regeneration. We host retreats, support creative research, and steward the re-wilding of our reserve for the benefit of all life.

La Choza del Mundo is a nature-immersed retreat center in the mountains of central Costa Rica, featuring open-air gathering spaces, a spacious yoga shala, shared kitchen, 26 acres of reforested jungle bordering a national park, jungle trails, onsite waterfalls, plunge pool, fire circle, and a stunning ocean-view sunset deck — all designed for deep connection with nature and restoration of wellbeing.

Nearest international airport is San Jose, Costa Rica.
La Choza is 1.5 hrs drive into the beautiful mountains of central Costa Rica. Mini-bus transfers can be arranged by the retreat center (our recommended method of transport). Self drive is an option, however parking is limited. Directions can be provided by the retreat center.
