About this Retreat
E-RYT® 500, RYS® 200
Ritianne discovered yoga back in 2012 whilst in Dubai, working as a flight attendant, after someone recommended Hot Yoga to help with insomnia and weight loss. Soon after, she graduated as a certified yoga teacher in two teacher trainings of Ashtanga and Hot Yoga. Ritianne brought Hot Yoga to Malta. HotYogaMalta first opened it’s doors in 2014 as the only HotYogaStudio in Malta offering solely 90min Bikram inspired HotYoga classes. Four years down the line through hard work, passion and dedication, she opened her second location to accommodate a larger community and offering a wider variety of classes. Ritianne leads Hot Yoga Teacher Trainings in Malta and manages a team of yoga teachers working alongside her.

Our Hot Yoga TTC is open for all levels!
Whether you've been practicing yoga for a few months or years the one thing we require is Motivation!
Because being a great teacher is not about doing the perfect headstand but to be able to transmit your true passion for yoga to your students in a safe and professional environment.
During the course we will be focusing on the Bikram inspired yoga sequence along with additional postures to prepare to teach a wider yogi audience.
What will your daily routine look like...
90 or 60 min Hot Yoga class.
We start the day with yoga and we finish the day with yoga.
You will be joining a scheduled group class at 8 am for an express class and an evening 90 min Hot Yoga class.
A light breakfast will be available at the studio after the morning class before commencing with the day's lectures.
Lectures on Anatomy, Yoga Philosophy, Breathing Techniques and Yoga Business.
These informative lectures will be spread throughout the 3 weeks with Guest lecturers joining us in some of the sessions to discuss the respective topics thoroughly.
Posture Clinic
During Posture Clinic we will be discussing each posture found in the Hot Yoga Set Sequence; learning the Sanskrit name, adjustments, benefits, limitations and what variations to offer for each poses depending on the individual’s needs.
Teaching Practice
Be prepared to teach in your first week! As you might have realized by now, to feel confident in any skill one needs to practice, practice and practice.. and that’s what we will be doing during these 3 weeks.
You will, therefore, be required to learn the sequence leading up to the warm-up (approximately the first 20min of the set sequence) and be prepared to teach it in your first week.
A dialogue will be provided to assist you with your cueing however it is not mandatory to use instead feel free to use your own voice to lead your students during your class.
What’s Required..
Prepare your Functional Anatomy.
Before the start of the course your functional anatomy notes will be sent to you so as to read through it. Come prepared for the course so as to make the most out of each session.
Successfully teach the HotYoga Set Sequence.
At the end of the course you will be assigned a 60min HotYoga group class (HotYoga Express) to teach to a group of students. There is no pass or fail just the experience of being able to share your passion with a group of like-minded people.
Written exam.
Your written exam at the end of the course will be an open book test where we will be able to recap the course material and discuss any ideas on how to teach a safe and successful yoga class.
Be prepared for anything when teaching
Once you step into a yoga room as a teacher you are responsible for the safety of each individual which is why we have added a CPR session during our TTC to provide you with the basic skills to assist in case of a sudden case of illness.
