Details of this retreat

Come find stillness, spiritual connection and rest during the cold winter months. This four-week virtual series will combine gentle yoga, time for reflection on art or poetry, and group sharing. The retreat’s focus is on processing the heaviness of the times we live in by listening to our body’s wisdom. Each 90-minute session will begin with an approximately 40-minute gentle yoga practice that will be accessible for all bodies and experience levels. With our bodies prepared, we will move into a time of reflection and listening. Finally, we will be able to process and share our experience with one another in small and large group discussions.

Participants are invited to attend one or all of the sessions. The topics for each week include:

Week 1: Acknowledging the heaviness we carry
Week 2: Looking to our bodies to name our needs and desires
Week 3: Letting go, finding release
Week 4: Playfulness to build resilience

Schedule

7 Day Individually Directed Silent Retreat
This was my second 7 day retreat at Cranaleith, in addition to ongoing individual spiritual direction since 2014. I recommend the sisters at Cranaleith for their compassionate and insightful direction. If you are looking to spend time in the serenity of God and nature, it is a worthy destination.

A Lovely Week
Space, quiet, time -- a strong sense of whole-ness throughout. Happy to be with others who longed for those same things and respected that wish in everyone else.

Very nice meals, lovingly and cheerfully prepared, many of the ingredients from the garden on the property. (Maybe a bit too much kale, though! :))

A knowledgeable and kind director.

I felt free and very welcome. Thanks very much for this week.
