About this Retreat
Fabian grew up in Berlin, where he learned from his father how to windsurf in the Baltic Sea as a young boy. He worked with technology startups, the United Nations and organized trips to 16 African countries supporting entrepreneurs. In his thirties, he entered a personal crisis resulting in burnout and depression.
He started listening to his inner wisdom and started volunteering in dolphin conservation in the Red Sea. He began to swim with wild dolphins every day and became deeply connected to the sea. His dream is to assist people in exploring their inner worlds by going deep into the sea and having the best time of their life.
He spends his free time traveling with world and exploring different shamanic practices, indigenous and western wisdom. Since his life change he attended trainings in Energy Healing and Water Therapy.
In the water he mostly enjoys freediving, kitesurfing and of course water therapy.
Details of this retreat
The Somatic Water Therapy Training is a 7-day immersive foundation program designed for those called to work with water as a therapeutic medium.
This professional training combines pool-based and open-water practice with somatic awareness, embodied facilitation, movement, breath, and integration. Participants are guided through experiential learning, supervised practice, and group processes that support both personal embodiment and professional development.
The training takes place in Dahab, Egypt β a location known for its calm waters, reliable conditions, and long-standing culture of ocean-based practice. Sessions are held in a dedicated retreat venue with pool access, as well as selected open-water environments in the Red Sea.
Professional Training Pathway
The Somatic Water Therapy Training is designed as a modular professional pathway rather than a single standalone course.
This 50-hour foundation training represents the first level of the pathway. Advanced and extended training modules are planned to follow, allowing practitioners to deepen their skills, log additional practice hours, and refine their facilitation over time.
Future training levels may include:
- Advanced Somatic Water Therapy Training
- Extended practice and mentorship modules
- Specialized trainings in group facilitation, trauma-informed practice, or open-water work
Completion of the foundation level is a prerequisite for all advanced modules.

π About Dahab, Egypt
Dahab is a small coastal town on the Sinai Peninsula, known for its calm atmosphere, crystal-clear waters, and long-standing culture of ocean-based practice.
Originally a Bedouin fishing village, Dahab has evolved into an international hub for freediving, diving, yoga, and embodied movement disciplines. It attracts practitioners, teachers, and facilitators from around the world who value simplicity, nature, and focused practice over mass tourism.
The Red Sea around Dahab offers exceptional conditions for water-based work: warm temperatures, high visibility, minimal currents, and easy access from shore. These conditions make it an ideal environment for somatic water therapy training, allowing participants to work safely and consistently in both pool and open-water settings.
Beyond the water, Dahab provides a grounded and relaxed retreat atmosphere, with desert landscapes, quiet beaches, and a slow rhythm that supports deep integration, rest, and group cohesion.
Environmental & Local Impact
As part of our commitment to the waters that host this training, a portion of the program supports marine protection efforts in the Red Sea region.
We contribute to established conservation initiatives working to protect coral reefs, marine life, and coastal ecosystems, and where possible, integrate local clean-up actions during the training week.
This approach allows participants to engage not only in somatic water practice, but also in conscious stewardship of the environments that make this work possible.
