If you are interested in taking ayahuasca do it with MexiSoul!
If you are interested in taking ayahuasca and other plant medicines you will not find a better place to do this than at MexiSoul. I was apprehensive about going on an ayahuasca retreat but doing it with MexiSoul is one of the best decisions I have ever made.

The people here are some of the kindest and warmest I have ever met and made me feel completely at ease and cared for, which is essential when taking such powerful psychedelics. The finca where the retreat is held is absolutely stunning, the accomodation was fantastic and the food was delicious throughout. But most important were the plant medicines and accompanying ceremonies. For me and many others on the retreat, the experience of taking these was transformative.

Unfortunately I suspect it will be some time before the full benefits of psychedelic plant medicines are recognised in the West, although attitudes are gradually shifting. MexiSoul are at the forefront of what I think will become more commonplace in the decades to come - some of the work they are doing is genuinely incredible.

Words cannot express my gratitude to the entire MexiSoul team for this life-changing experience. I am excited at the prospect of returning to MexiSoul in the future to continue my journey with the plant medicine.

Amazing beautiful experience
From beautiful surroundings, great food, and caring staff… this retreat surpassed my expectations. I highly suspect I will be returning one day. Plant medicines can be challenging, but so worth it … and the loving staff were there to truly take care of me in the difficult moments. Thanks to everyone at MexiSoul!

How the MexiSoul Retreat Helped Me as a Military Veteran
After 20 years of military service, you learn to build walls.
You learn to compartmentalize — to push through pain, lead under pressure, and silence emotions that don’t serve the mission. It’s a survival instinct. But when the uniform comes off, the mission doesn’t end — it just changes. What used to protect you starts to weigh you down.

The MexiSoul Retreat gave me something I didn’t even know I still needed — permission to feel again.

As a veteran, I’ve carried invisible rucksacks full of things I couldn’t name — anger, guilt, loss, control, and the constant need to stay “ready.” But during the ceremonies and deep inner work at MexiSoul, I was reminded that true strength isn’t in control — it’s in surrender.

The experience brought me face-to-face with parts of myself I’d buried under years of service and survival. It wasn’t about escaping the past; it was about making peace with it. I learned that healing doesn’t mean forgetting — it means transforming pain into purpose.

In the military, brotherhood means having someone’s six. At MexiSoul, I found a different kind of brotherhood — one rooted in truth, vulnerability, and spiritual connection. For the first time in a long time, I didn’t have to lead. I just had to be.

Ayahuasca, the environment, and the people helped me shed layers of ego and control that the Army had built in me out of necessity. I came out of it not softer — but clearer, more grounded, more compassionate. I remembered that before I was a soldier, I was a man — a husband, a father, a servant of God.

MexiSoul didn’t just help me heal; it helped me come home to myself.

Now, when I serve — whether it’s my family, my business, or my community — it comes from a place of peace instead of pain.

Bucket List Check to Life Changing Core Memory
This retreat was gifted to me by a dear friend and it was one of the most biggest blessings I could have ever received. As an infant to plant medicine the moment I stepped foot on the property, I felt held and nurtured and cared for just like a baby. I got to sleep and cry and laugh and experience all the things with fresh eyes. Shaman Humberto’s presence is so calming and the wisdom he shared was incredibly relatable and understandable. In some of my experiences, I hear riddles not things I can comprehend and learn and carry on with. This was very different. The care team were so gentle and NON JUDGEMENTAL. It was the freest I have ever felt and the most at home in my body. I loved ever moment, developed relationships and love everyone that manifested in the same space with me and I don’t regret one thing. Not one! Thank you!

A place out of time, a true gift for the soul
This was my second retreat at Mexisoul, and the experience was just as incredible as the first one.
Everything was absolutely perfect: the warm welcome, the magical setting surrounded by animals, the kindness and genuine care of the entire team. You feel supported, listened to, and nurtured from beginning to end.
The team truly loves what they do, and you can feel it. The food is amazing, nourishing both body and heart.

The ceremonies were beautiful, the music deeply inspiring, and Humberto is an extraordinary shaman, full of presence and rare wisdom.

Coming here is truly giving your soul a gift (literally!). And for women traveling alone, this is a place where you can feel completely safe and cared for. I will definitely go back!
