Surf Synergy feels far more like a home than just a vacation or surf retreat. The staff are some of the friendliest people you will meet, and focus on making sure you feel comfortable, happy, and healthy throughout your time in Costa Rica. The surf instructors are top-notch, some with pro and national team backgrounds. The kitchen staff is magical in the way they can create nutritious meals with local fusions, and the security always greets you with a warm smile. The video analysis (shoutout to the awesome videographers and photographers Alex and Margot) helps you rapidly improve your surfing skills while providing you fun footage of your experience. The entire environment at Surf Synergy is the definition of paradise, I highly recommend visiting for as long as you can!

The week I experienced at Surf Synergy was one I will never forget. The staff was incredible; we had 3 delicious meals provided everyday, the room service was superb, and they truly cared about us by being accommodative to our requests and getting to know us. I was super impressed by how good I got at surfing. My coach was a former competitive surfer who simplified the sport which allowed me to catch at least 10 waves a day. I had an incredible experience and I would highly recommend a week at Surf Synergy to anyone.

I came to surf synergy as a solo traveling intermediate surfer and surf synergy was an incredible host with kind staff, healthy meals and great surf instruction!

The location is about a 5 minute bike ride away from the beach and about 10 minutes from the town. Placed on a mountain, this resort provided a unique experience of being able to experience elevated views while feeling like you are far from everyone else. The bungalows are very comfortable with AC and you have access to the yoga deck, training deck, pool, and common areas of the resort. Staff are always around and happy to help. I felt very safe as a solo female traveller with gated security.

The surf instruction was very informative as an intermediate surfer (beginner and advanced options available as well) and they take you to surf spots that you probably wouldn't have known to go to if you had come on your own. The video analysis was extremely helpful and I felt very motivated to take the skills that I learned and apply them at home. The best part is that after a long surf session you are provided with fresh fruit and 3 healthy, delicious meals each day so you do not have to worry about where to find your next meal (of course you can still opt to eat in the town).

Overall, this place exceeded my expectations and I felt completely recharged and healthier coming back from this trip. With customizable packages, you can choose which experiences you want to have easily. This place is a gem and I already have a couple friends who will be staying here in the future!
