Bundles and Blessings - Ancestral Stories Known and Unknown
How we carry them, and the possibility for transformation
*****
Tending the Wounds and Accessing the Gifts of Ancestral Heritage
DEEP IN OUR BONES we carry ancestral stories that have been passed down to us over many generations. Woven in the shadows of time and family narratives are the ways we have been formed, with all the migrations, celebrations, tragedies, gifts and wounds. Hidden histories haunt us through a kind of longing for what we do not know: A longing for a sense of true belonging; to know where we come from; to know more fully who we are. The Bundle is what we carry.

During our time together, we will enter both landscape and deep imagination, to cross a threshold into the House of the Ancestors, to track the known and unknown people and stories that have shaped our lives in mysterious ways. There will be many opportunities to wander the landscape of the wild highland forest of Cedar Song Centre for Wild Belonging, to listen with our bones and our hearts for ancestral energies, and engage with them and embody them through story, movement, and image.

Between wanders we will take up the soul practices of council, deep imagery, poetry, ceremony and dream work to court the Old Ones and sort the threads of our personal and collective stories. Through this process, we will seek a deepened sense of ourselves, find lost heirlooms, and possibly bring a balm to ancient wounds.

Our 4 days of together of deep listening will be a gift to the ancestors, as well as to ourselves. When we intimately encounter the ancestral stories living in our bones, our compassion for our own history as well as the world’s wounds opens up a depth of soulful understanding that can transform consciousness in ways essential to life on the planet.

Bundles and Blessings is inspired by the Bone House, created by soul guides Peter Scanlan and Annie Bloom, and taught to Stéphanie and Sarah by Peter Scanlan. We are honouring his trust in us to bring this work forward.

Please join us for us this opportunity for ancestor connection in Bundles and Blessings.

Beautiful land, incredible life-changing experience
I attended a ReWilding Immersion here in August, 2023. I sought out this experience to address a lack of connection I felt with the natural world, and could not have anticipated how much more I would get from this retreat.

I connected with my wholeness, called upon and honed my deep inner knowing, expressed long-held and largely unconscious feelings, and left feeling more aligned, healed and connected to myself and the more-than-human world.

Stephanie and Sarah were such incredible guides and facilitators, sharing their knowledge and gifts generously. They walked the perfect line of giving us space, freedom and trust to explore our own processes, while always being present if support was needed.

The land itself is incredible, with a variety of trees and plants and creatures to connect with. Pease Lake is a short walk away, and I enjoyed a few peaceful swims. The house was used to prepare our meals and held some of our gatherings. It all felt 10/10 perfect to me.

Deep listener
My experience of Stephanie is that she is a compassionate and deep listener who asks skillful questions to gently nudge and deepen a person's understanding of themselves. She also has a sense of humour, and is down to earth.

Very compassionate, caring and easy to talk to
Sarah has a gift of deep listening and reflecting back one's strengths, grief, love and longing in an easy, gentle, compassionate way. She is at home with the language of magic and mystery, and welcomes the journey into dark and scary places in search of lost treasures.

Gorgeous space!
Cedar Song is a beautiful space surrounded by nature. The kitchen is well stocked for all food prep, the bathrooms and showers are fine, and the big room is spacious, and beautifully adorned with elements of nature. There are different meeting places around the property, a large deck to dine on, and paths in multiple directions to wander onto the land.

A fantastic retreat, expertly guided. Don't overthink it. Just sign up and go!
In speaking with a friend, I described my Rewilding retreat with Stephanie and Becky as "delightfully not spiritual," meaning that I wasn’t in the presence of a bunch of pseudo-spiritual egos trying to look all zenny while they were exploding on the inside. Instead, I felt privileged to be with an extraordinary group of very real and honest women who were being their perfectly imperfect selves while our guides expertly held the space for our explorations. I feel ongoing gratitude for the retreat and for all those who made it possible. Bill Plotkin's simple, yet brilliant map of the self and the sub-personalities continues to serve as a guide for my inner work. Highly recommended!
