Colleen Mollica M.A.A.T. is a level 1 Kripalu Certified Mindful Outdoor Guide, Certified MIEA Mindfulness Instructor, Co-director of the Albert and Amelia Ferst Interfaith Center at Westfield State University, campus minister, and educator with a lifelong love of learning. Colleen is passionate about protecting the more-than-human world and nurturing the human spirit. Colleen is open to the wisdom of the earth’s spiritual traditions and believes that transcendent experiences in nature enable us to encounter agape, or unconditional Love. Time in nature awakens us to our purpose, establishes our sense of well-being, nourishes our spirit, and connects us to all. Operating from an integrative framework of spirit, mind, and body, Colleen is dedicated to healing our fractured relationship with Mother Earth and, ultimately, with one another.
Details of this retreat
Imagine: the scent of pine, the feel of earth beneath your feet, and a profound sense of calm washing over you. Discover how a mindful outdoor experience can transform your stress levels and deepen your connection to the earth and all things spiritual. Join us at Genesis Spiritual Life Center for three Monday evening experiences in the Arboretum exploring the wisdom of nature on 6/1, 7/6, and 8/3.
A mindful outdoor experience offers an opportunity to manage stress and create a reciprocal relationship with the earth. Using present-moment awareness, nature-based meditation, natural movement, and lessons from nature, participants will reawaken their senses to the healing properties of Mother Earth. Through mindful engagement with the more-than-human world, participants will be more likely to become better stewards of the land and hold space for one another in the community.
Colleen Mollica, a graduate of the Kripalu School of Outdoor Leadership, will share how nature heals, restores, and connects all living things.
Betty didn’t disappoint. She was witty, full of energy, her words were inspirational and the exercises were transformative.
The food was wonderful. Thank you for providing gluten and dairy free meals.

I’ve been on many retreats this one at the Genesis center by far was one of the best ones I’ve been on. They had everything you could need and the food was outstanding. I will definitely come back here again.

6 day directed retreat
I have been going to Genesis since 1980. As usual, my experience was wonderful. Sr. Nancy is extremely wise and caring. I love being with her. It's also great to have liturgy twice during the week. The house is very comfortable, warm when it needs to be and very cool when necessary. The schedule and the food is great. I have no complaints. Please God I will return next summer.
