Details of this retreat

As a practice lineage, we value understanding how practice works. Generation stage practice in tantra is most effective when practiced with clear view and intention. When its purpose is understood, visualization, mantra, and meditation naturally support liberation, completion stage practice, and direct recognition. This series is offered to deepen that understanding, helping practitioners practice with confidence, clarity, and ease.
In this two-session series, Rinpoche will guide us through the essential points of generation stage practice using the traditional framework of purity (dag pa), completeness (rdzogs pa), and ripening (smin pa). These clarifications arise from direct oral instruction and Rinpoche’s long-term practice experience, where generation stage practice is taught as preparation for completion stage, Mahamudra, and Dzogchen.
Generation stage works by purifying ordinary perception. Through the lens of purity, appearances are recognized in accordance with their nature, experienced as deity, sounds as mantra, and mind as wisdom. Completeness means practicing in accord with the fruition itself, training the qualities of the three kayas as present and accessible in experience. Through sustained practice, this leads to ripening of the subtle body of channels, winds, and drops, and to the arising of completion stage realization, so that what was once conceptual becomes embodied and genuine.
Throughout these sessions, Rinpoche will clarify how generation and completion stages function together rather than as separate practices, and how Mahayoga and Anuyoga form the indispensable foundation for later Mahamudra and Dzogchen practice.
This series is especially suited for practitioners who:

Practice mantra or deity yoga and want clearer orientation

Feel uncertain how generation stage connects to completion stage or direct recognition

Want to practice with greater simplicity, confidence, and integrity

This series is about understanding what tantric practice is already doing, so you can be more confident in the practice.
