Retreat Highlights

  • We believe all of us hold creativity in our bones! Our theme honors that we all have a creative life force, an energy that flows through us. It’s about tapping into the part of you that is grounded, connected, inspired, delighted, and FREE!
  • As Creative Arts Therapists, we believe that art and creativity are simply ‘ways in’ to understanding ourselves and others. This retreat is intended to be supportive, gentle, fun, and encourage self-reflection. You do not need to do, make, produce, or be anything! You are enough:)
  • While all our retreats have a nourishing and restorative therapeutic aspect, our theme for this retreat loosely uses the framework of ‘The Artist’s Way’ to inform an experience that will be creative, inspiring, and expressive.
  • At this retreat we hope to:
  • jumpstart creative practices in a supportive and thoughtful group process
  • explore self-talk / ideas that challenge, inhibit, or expand our personal growth
  • identify and cultivate our individual value systems as they relate to curiosity, creativity, and self compassion
  • provide rest and nourishment in peaceful nature without the distractions of work/life demands.
  • inspire ideas and action through expressive therapeutic work, creative and reflective prompts, and demonstrated workshops

Details of this retreat

Join two nature-loving Creative Arts Therapists (Drama Therapists), Isabel and Hollis, as we adventure west for our first Oregon retreat. Inspired by the guide "The Artist's Way", our retreat will invite curious and open-hearted women to explore their own creativity and unique process over a week filled with nurturing community, great food, gentle yoga and meditation, creative arts therapy workshops, and expressive and visual art making. All this in the glorious natural setting that is Oregon's gorgeous Willamette Valley.

A Creative Women Retreat always offers a deeply intentional time, which start with nurturing a small and intimate cohort of women from all backgrounds, ages, and walks of life. We'll share delicious vegetarian meals, gather for thought-provoking workshops, get lots of rest (journaling, walks outside, plenty of sleep), and enjoy daily offerings of yoga and meditation. In addition, there will be some super fun (optional) add-ons to complete the Oregon experience, including day trips to nearby swimming holes, beautiful hikes, wine tasting at nearby world-famous vineyards, horseback riding, a beach day trip, and more!

Isabel teaches gentle yoga for beginners, incorporating sound, meditation, and breathwork into accessible poses for all bodies to promote relaxation and self-knowledge. Hollis integrates breathwork and meditation into more active therapeutic sessions that may involve role-play, art-making, and storytelling.
