Details of this retreat

Explore the healing potential of Holotropic Breathwork, nature, art, sound and expressive movement

Holotropic Breathwork™ is a powerful experiential breathing process that allows for self-exploration and healing. With eyes closed and lying on a mat, each person uses their own breath and the music in the room to enter an expanded state of consciousness. This state activates the natural inner healing potential of the breather, or "inner healer", which guides the experience.

The Forest Refuge is a four-day immersive retreat that integrates Holotropic Breathwork, mindfulness, sound healing and nature-based practices to work with the physical, emotional, relational and spiritual aspects of the human experience.

We access and utilize both conscious and unconscious paths of exploration and self-discovery to support people in moving toward health and healing. Some of the processes offered at the Forest Refuge
Retreat include interactive lectures, 4 Holotropic Breathwork sessions, sharing circles, sound healing, reconnecting with the healing potential of nature, therapeutic writing, group processes, focused release work and artistic expression.

The Retreat is suitable for a wide range of issues including chronic medical issues, chronic pain, relationship issues, professional or personal burnout, feeling stuck or trapped, loss of meaning and purpose, significant life transitions, grief and loss, depression and anxiety, and support for those in recovery from addictions.

Weekend retreat stay
The property is on a beautiful, peaceful location.
Nature is all around and sometimes a little too close but you are literally surrounded by woods.

The food was really good and I liked the buffet style and fruit basket.

The gift shop although small had a nice selection of items and I purchased a few fun items.

Since the dining area was on the opposite side of the site from the convention center, a lot of students drove back and forth on the property. I chose the walking paths to get around.

Lovely
I had a fascinating and enlightening experience during an “Energy squared Reiki,” class at Menlo this past week. The grounds, rooms, facilities amenities and spa at Menla were all beautiful, clean, and peaceful. The food was delicious and nourishing. I can say only good things about both Menla and the program I attended, and would wholeheartedly recommend both. Read More
