About this Retreat
I am proud to introduce my brother Antonio, with whom I have the privilege of working for the very first time. With a profound understanding of the plant kingdom and an insatiable thirst for knowledge, Antonio's expertise in botany is remarkable.
His pursuit of learning has encouraged himself to immerse in the study of plants, expanding his skills and becoming
a master in the field.
During a transformative journey, Antonio crossed paths with Kambo, forging a sacred bond with the frog and embarking on a new chapter in his life. Since then, he has dedicated himself to traveling the world, striving to make the power of medicine accessible to people of all cultures and his unwavering commitment to spreading awareness about the healing properties of plants knows no boundaries.
Marisol, the host of Synergy, whose journey as a dedicated yoga student and teacher has expanded to encompass the profound realms of breathwork facilitation and plant medicine exploration. With a deep reverence for ancient traditions, Marisol has delved into the transformative power of breath, guiding others on soulful journeys of self-discovery and healing through
her expertise as a breathwork facilitator.
Beyond the realms of breath, Marisol's connection with plant medicine has been a transformative force in her life and practice. Through her experiences with sacred plant allies, she has forged a profound understanding of the interconnectedness between mind, body, and spirit. Born in Guatemala, the land of the Maya, Pedro has emerged as a profound
spiritual presence within the mystical realms of the lake Atitlan.
For over a decade, he has called the Lake his home and devoted
himself to study and walk the path of the Sacred Mayan Spirituality.
Pedro was guided by the teachings of Tata Pedro Cruz, a revered elder
and esteemed wisdom keeper. In this powerful Journey deeply rooted in spirituality,
Pedro spent sixteen years walking this path under his guidence.
In addition to his experience with the Sacred Fire, Pedro is also a teacher
of the intricate Mayan Cosmovision. Delving into the complexities of this system,
he teaches about the Depth of the interconnectedness of the universe
and the wisdom held within the sacred rythms of Nature.

The nearest airport, La Aurora in Guatemala City, serves as the gateway to your journey. From there, embark on a seamless shuttle ride to the enchanting shores of Lake Atitlan in San Marcos, a tranquil voyage spanning approximately 3 hours. Nestled at the gateway of San Marcos, known as Ixbalam, awaits your destination.

Ix Balam is a beach front land with a 11 bedroom, 11 bathroom, 90 square meter shala, sauna (temazcal), dock, teepee grounds, 2 community kitchens, music studio, event space, restaurant and food garden developed intentionally and prayerfully on the very shore of Lake Atitlan Guatemala on a secluded bay 5 minutes walk from the holistic town of San Marcos La Laguna, next to its protected nature reserve.
